You Will: Assists the modality technologist with different procedures within the scope of their job skills and licensure. Prints technologists' daily schedule. Ensure that equipment and tools are sterilized in each department before every patient exam. Confirms patient appointments. Schedules callback with patients when necessary Assists patients with their paper work when necessary. Verify patient identity correctly by adhering to appropriate Company policies. Explains exam/procedure to patients' or coordinates with someone if language or other issue interferes with the patients' accurate understanding of their procedures. Answers any questions the patient might have regarding their exam/procedure. Gives patients oral contrast as indicated by exam. Verifies patients' insurance. Takes patients' blood pressure for nuclear medicine exams. Ensures that supplies needed for the technologists are appropriately maintained and orders supplies when necessary. Upload previous exams and request addendums. Call doctors' office for labs on patients, as needed. Complete film or CD requests for patients and/or outside facilities. Request priors from outside facilities. Consult with Radiologist, as needed. Assists front office, as needed. Assist the insurance verification department and retrieve authorizations, as needed. Promotes public relations through excellent service to patients, referring physicians, vendors and other clients on the phone and in person. If You Are: Graduated from the ImagingWorks program and perform duties as a Patient Service Representative, MRI Technical Assistant, and DEXA Technologist. This position will play a vital role in the assigned region and assist in coverage at the home location and as assigned across the region. Passionate about patient care and exercise sound judgement and an ability to remain professional in all situations. You demonstrate effective and professional communication, interpersonal skills and respect with patients, guests & colleagues. You have a structured work-approach, understand complex problems and you are able to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. To Ensure Success in This Role, You Must Have: Must have one of the following: a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Promote disease prevention by using effective risk assessment, coaching and counseling skills. As appropriate, provide timely and accurate completion of Annual Medicare Wellness physicals in accordance with Beebe Medical Group policy and Medicare guidelines. Ability to appropriately handle unexpected emergent medical situations. Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with patients, co-workers and healthcare providers. Possess an energetic, compassionate and efficient work ethic with strong organizational skills and effective customer service skills.
