The Sr. Technician will be able to communicate processes, procedures and results to customers. The Sr Technician will assist in training apprentices in the various NDT Methods.

The Northern Gulf Institute (NGI) is a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Cooperative Institute comprised of six academic institutions that are geographically distributed across the U.S. Gulf Coast states. The six NGI member institutions are Mississippi State University (lead), the University of Southern Mississippi, Florida State University, Louisiana State University, the University of Alabama in Huntsville, and the Dauphin Island Sea Laboratory. Together with NOAA and in support of their strategic plan, NGI conducts research on interconnections among Gulf of Mexico environments, habitats, resources, and people and engages in outreach to help others learn about and make decisions based on these interconnections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in fishery-independent surveys of queen conch populations by traveling to
selected jurisdictions and safely conducting SCUBA diving and snorkel operations as
needed
Comply with all diving safety regulations as specified in the NOAA Diving Standards
and Safety Manual and follow any additional instructions from the Unit Dive Supervisor
at the Galveston Lab
Maintain diving proficiency and current status as a NOAA diver
Assist project Principal Investigators (PIs) with resource surveys and sample collection
including field trip and logistical planning, coordinating with trip participants,
maintaining gear, and packing field equipment
Enter data collected in the field and in the lab into approved formats and database
applications, conduct quality control reviews of entered data sets, store hard copies in
secure locations, and ensure that completed databases are stored and backed up
appropriately
Assist PIs in the laboratory as needed by sorting and identifying nekton and benthic
macroinfauna collected from field samples
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. or B.A. in biological sciences or related fields
Current qualifications and status as a NOAA Diver
Knowledge of the ecology and life history parameters of queen conch
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience conducting fishery-independent population surveys of queen conch using
SCUBA or snorkel protocols
Experience collecting tissue samples from queen conch individuals underwater while on

Experience operating and working on small boats carrying divers and sampling

The Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Stephenville are seeking a highly motivated full-time postdoctoral research associate with an interest in environmental microbiology, environmental processes, advanced or renewable materials for environmental applications, waste-derived biofuels and bioproducts, and greenhouse gas control.
Successful candidates should have knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Responsibilities:
Environmental microbiology for microbial community analysis, antibiotic-resistant genes and pathogens in water, soil, plants, and sludge.
Environmental processes, including adsorption, advanced oxidation/reduction, and biological treatment.
Advanced or renewable materials, including biochar and other carbon materials, for water purification and environmental remediation.
Production of biofuels, biochemicals, and bioproducts from various waste.
Greenhouse gas control in soil, water, and contaminated sites.
Supervise technicians and undergraduates.
Coordinate research activities with a large team of collaborators.
Present data in scientific meetings.
Prepare manuscripts for publication.

Position Information
The Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Stephenville are seeking a highly motivated full-time postdoctoral research associate with an interest in environmental microbiology, environmental processes, advanced or renewable materials for environmental applications, waste-derived biofuels and bioproducts, and greenhouse gas control.
Successful candidates should have knowledge in one or more of the following areas:
Responsibilities:
Environmental microbiology for microbial community analysis, antibiotic-resistant genes and pathogens in water, soil, plants, and sludge.
Environmental processes, including adsorption, advanced oxidation/reduction, and biological treatment.
Advanced or renewable materials, including biochar and other carbon materials, for water purification and environmental remediation.
Production of biofuels, biochemicals, and bioproducts from various waste.
Greenhouse gas control in soil, water, and contaminated sites.
Supervise technicians and undergraduates.
Coordinate research activities with a large team of collaborators.
Present data in scientific meetings.
Prepare manuscripts for publication.
Research activities with a multidisciplinary team of collaborators, including university faculty, industry partners, and external research institutions.
Foster strong relationships with collaborators to ensure seamless communication, sharing of data, and integration of research objectives.
Supervise laboratory technicians, undergraduate, and graduate students.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in environmental engineering science, chemical engineering, biological engineering, agricultural engineering, microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.

The lab studies cognitive and brain development from childhood to adulthood, and we are particularly interested in the development of memory systems in the brain. We use behavioral assessment together with structural and functional neuroimaging measurement (including fMRI and intracranial EEG ). The successful candidate will be working closely with the PI and will have ample opportunities to lead research projects related to the ongoing research and develop new research directions.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The postdoctoral fellow will be expected to participate in collecting and analyzing neuroimaging data and work with existing providing ample opportunities for authorship on scholarly publications. Responsibilities include assisting in experimental design and coding of stimulus presentation (e.g., using MATLAB ), construction and maintenance of fMRI and support research using intracranial EEG analyses protocols. Additional responsibilities include supporting recruiting and scheduling of participants; behavioral and neuroimaging data collection; preparation and maintenance of IRB protocols; assistance in grant writing and manuscript preparation. There will also be opportunities for gaining experience in mentoring thorough supervising graduate students and undergraduate volunteers.
