What We're Looking For
The Prospect Research Analyst will lead and set a strategic direction for prospect identification, qualification, and research aimed at reaching annual and long-term fundraising goals, requiring the ability to: gather, summarize, and disseminate large volumes of information from numerous sources; make recommendations for solicitation strategies; and compose prospect briefings and profiles.
A bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience are required. Five years of relevant experience is preferred.
A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
Develop tools and resources to be successful in identifying, reporting on, tracking, segmenting, and analyzing prospects and donors to meet annual and long-term University fundraising objectives
Write high quality, comprehensive profiles and tailored briefings using information from university records, publicly available information, and subscription resources on major gift donors and other prospects to support the needs of the Office of the President, the Vice President of University Advancement, front-line development officers, deans, and other university leaders, both proactively and in response to specific requests
Analyze and synthesize accumulated financial, philanthropic, and affinity data on individuals, corporations, and private foundations to assess prospects' giving capability, philanthropic tendencies, and appropriate potential solicitors
Develop and implement methods for identifying new potential prospects for relevant areas of responsibility for development officers with a specific focus on principal gifts
Performing all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission

What We Are Looking For Baylor University is seeking a part-time Research Assistant to contribute to data analyses and writing for an ongoing research study on the spiritual lives of young adults with disabilities. This research study is for the Bridges to Belonging project, a partnership among George W. Truett Theological Seminary, the Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities (School of Education), and the Center for Church & Community Impact (Diana R. Garland School of Social Work). The principal investigators are Drs. Angela Reed (Truett), Erik Carter (Baylor Center for Developmental Disabilities), and Gaynor Yancey (Social Work). The Program Manager for the Bridges to Belonging project (Elyse McMullen) will oversee the work of the Research Assistant.
A Bachelor's degree and less than one year of relevant work experience are required. A Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant work experience are preferred. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Position Information
The Assistant Research Scientist will be responsible for assisting in the development and application of EPIC/APEX model-based soil carbon modeling frameworks for improving agroecosystem sustainability. This position will assist a team of ecosystem modeling scientists to perform process-based ecosystem models based research and develop decision support systems. This position will also assist in writing python/R programming scripts to optimize processing time, making the current decision support systems more efficient and reliable.
Responsibilities:
Aid in the development and application of soil carbon modeling frameworks in APEX/EPIC models.
Aid in the development of GHG modules in SWAT+/APEX/EPIC.
Integrating ML/AI with Process based modeling to develop/optimize decision support systems.
Work effectively within a modeling group comprised of ARS, AgriLife, and other personnel.
Actively participate in joint research activities. Effectively manage and complete assigned tasks.
Other job-related duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Ecology, agronomy, Geology, Environmental Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines with emphasis on soil carbon modeling or agroecosystem assessment.
Some relevant professional experience.
Demonstrated publication record in agronomic/soil carbon modeling and analysis.
Interdisciplinary teamwork skills with researchers across different disciplines.
Flexibility to perform work in a team or individually with supervision.
Good communication, interpersonal skills, professionalism, and competency.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of computer models on watershed assessment and/or flood management.

Position Information
We are seeking a full-time Research Technician II position responsible for overseeing multiple daily and weekly tasks associated with the farming operation and pasture management. This center farms approximately 1,500 acres of corn, sorghum sudangrass, wheat, and oats for animal feed and manages approximately 4,800 acres for grazing. While under direction, this position will implement and/or coordinate farming and pasture preparation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting duties pertaining to the center's management goals and research objectives. This position will be located at the McGregor Research Center.
Responsibilities:
Oversee farming operation, such as field preparation (plowing/discing, cultivating, chemical termination of plants), planting of grain and hay fields, maintaining weed and pest control on crops (herbicide and pesticide application), and harvesting (cutting, swathing, baling and hauling hay).
Assist with implementing management of pastures including bushhogging, brush clearing, application of herbicides/pesticides and fertilizers and any other techniques to ensure optimum forage production and healthy pastures.
Operate heavy equipment, such as tractor, plow disc, cultivator, planter, swather, hay rake, baler, bushhog, skid steer and attachments, augers, and grain truck.
Performs maintenance duties such as cleaning and repairing of equipment and facilities for optimal working conditions.
Assist when needed, implementing management and research protocols to include care of animals on a day-to-day basis in research setting. This includes (but not limited to) infrastructure maintenance and repair (fences, plumbing, welding).
Maintains training requirements for compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of experience in related fields of work.

Position Information
The selected candidate would assist a team of ecosystem modeling scientists to perform process-based ecosystem models based research and develop decision support systems. The candidate would also assist in writing python/R programming scripts to optimize processing time, making the current decision support systems more efficient and reliable.

Aid in the development of hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS
Integrating ML/AI with Process based modeling to develop/optimize decision support systems
Work effectively within a modeling group comprised of ARS, AgriLife, and other personnel. Actively participate in joint research activities. Effectively manage and complete assigned tasks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Ecology, Hydrology, Geology, Environmental Science/Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines with emphasis on surface hydrology or watershed assessment or flood management.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of computer models on watershed assessment and/or flood management.
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python, Fortran, R or others.
Experience in remote sensing data analysis and geographic information systems.
Experience in machine learning motivated algorithms and quantitative data analysis.
Strong writing and communication skills.
