A little about the job....
Assists licensed therapists in providing respiratory care to patients, under supervision.
Their responsibilities include performing basic respiratory treatments, assisting with diagnostic procedures, maintaining equipment, and educating patients and their families about respiratory care.
Qualifications for the job...
High School graduate or equivalent; actively enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand the unique needs of different patient age groups.
Good understanding of cardiac, neuro and respiratory anatomy and physiology acquired through a respiratory therapy program.
Experience with EKG and will need good computer skills, medical terminology, CPR, and the ability to discern normal and abnormal pathology are required.
