The inspector completes assigned projects under the direction of the Client Program Specialists. Responsible for inspecting various hardlines and softlines products at pre-production, in-process, and/or final production stages and reporting findings. Follows standard operating procedures, various client-specific procedures, as well as other inspection standards. Function is performed in the field (at a factory, warehouse, or other place of business). Applicants should have a background in consumer goods inspection and have working knowledge and experience with product construction techniques, as well as an understanding of inspection criteria including Inspection Levels, AQLs, and sampling plans and standards (ANSI/ASQ Z1.4).
+ Inspect hardlines and softlines products for defects and overall workmanship during in-process and/or final stages, checking quality against reference samples or other client-approved standards/criteria.
+ Conduct visual inspection and measurement of finished products against client standards/criteria including material integrity, construction quality, labeling, packaging, and functional performance.
+ Follow all required procedures established by the company and client. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner.
+ Work with the inspection coordinator to produce draft or final inspection reports.
+ Must be knowledgeable in the use of computer hardware and have the skill level required to use software currently in use by the department.
+ Adhere to all relevant UL environmental, health, and safety procedures and regulations, as well as any requirements from the client that may be applicable.

Responsibilities
Perform infrared thermographic inspections of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and/or roofing at commercial and industrial job sites
Analyze thermal images to identify anomalies or potential failures

Represent the company professionally on-site as the primary customer interface
Communicate effectively with internal teams and customer personnel to ensure clarity and accuracy of inspection results
Complete administrative duties in a timely manner, including time tracking, expense reporting, and travel arrangements
May also support building energy audits and assist with cataloging customers' electrical and mechanical assets
Qualifications
Basic electrical knowledge and strong mechanical aptitude

Job Description
A Mobile Inspector II functions as a member of the Manheim mobile inspections team for a designated region with the primary responsibility of conducting vehicle condition inspections on a client's lot. Their core skill is to provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition within the parameters of a Manheim inspection. This position will build trust with Clients, engage to help them see the value in the Manheim Marketplace, and to request more inventory to be inspected by providing quality and timely inspections.
As a Mobile Inspector II, it is expected to perform tasks with minimal guidance and supervision, while demonstrating growing independence and problem-solving skills.
The inspector for this role will have to be based in the North Seattle area. Lynnwood would be ideal.
PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITES
• Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection.
• Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients' lot safely.
• Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system to correct VIN, mileage, and sub series.
• Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items.
• Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including but not limited to tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components.
• Inspect and record the vehicle interior condition, including but not limited to seats, dashboard, and options.
• Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
