We are looking for an Intake Coordinator (working title: Pre-Clinical Coordinator) to join our team! In this job, you will:
Manage and/or assign files to appropriate staff members and initiate appropriate verbal and/or written contacts with employers, clients, claimants, and medical providers.
Set up files in all appropriate systems; assign files, when applicable, to the nurse
Facilitate and schedule appointments as needed, and keep the Telephonic Nurse Case Manager (TCM), clients, claimants, providers, and employers informed verbally and/or in writing of any changes, delays, updates, or problems
Maintain appropriate electronic and paper files
Obtain authorization for medical release of information from the adjuster, as necessary, for records acquisition
Interface with a variety of inter-disciplinary providers (e.g., PT, diagnostic, psychology, etc.)
Identify, maintain, and update participating providers
Utilize Share Point tool for evaluating case risk, and input all activities (including verbal and written discussions) into the Ultimate database and customer/client system
Answer incoming calls, and direct the call appropriately
Process all documents using computer, copier, and scanner
Search and copy the appropriate internal criteria guidelines, when appropriate
Screen all re-open files (subsequent URs) to determine duplicate requests, vs. an appeal request that is beyond the allotted timeframe, vs. a reconsideration, vs. a new UR
Basic invoicing
Continually improve job skills and knowledge of all company products and services as well as customer issues and needs, through ongoing training and self-directed research.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
Requirements
Experience in any of the following disciplines a plus - CNA, Medical Assistant, Physical Therapy Aide, Workers' Compensation, Medical Unit Claims Administrator, IME Coordinator, Medical Office Manager
Experience with workers' compensation or disability (a plus!)
Strong computer and internet skills (will work with programs including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel)
Basic knowledge of/ability to read medical reports, or enthusiastic about learning medical terminology
The ability to research evidence-based guidelines
Proficient verbal/telephone and written communication skills
A high level of efficiency, ability to maintain rapid workflow
An aptitude for learning, organization skills and the ability to follow systems and procedures

We are seeking a Business and Exposure Analyst to join our flood insurance analytics team in Miami. In this role, you will leverage your data analysis expertise and business insight to inform catastrophe modelling, manage exposure data, and support flood underwriting decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders - including underwriters, risk modelers, and management - to translate complex data into actionable insights. This position offers a hybrid work schedule (at least 3 days per week in-office) and requires 4-6 years of insurance exposure/CAT modelling analysis.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Collect and prepare data: Gather, cleanse, and validate property exposure data (e.g. insured locations, values) to ensure accuracy for catastrophe risk modelling and analysis.
Catastrophe modelling: Run and interpret flood catastrophe models and simulations to estimate potential losses for individual events and entire portfolios. Analyze model outputs to inform portfolio management strategies and reinsurance decisions.
Exposure management: Monitor and manage the company's flood insurance portfolio exposure, identifying concentrations of risk (by geography, construction type, etc.) and providing recommendations to optimize the portfolio's risk profile and reshape appetites.
Event analysis: Provide timely analysis and loss estimates during significant flood events (e.g. hurricanes) to support rapid decision-making and internal/external communications. Gather exposure data to inform key stakeholders of potential risk.
Reporting and visualization: Produce regular reports and dashboards on key flood risk metrics, model results, and portfolio performance for stakeholders such as underwriters, actuaries, and senior management. Continued enhancement of metrics and reporting formats.
Underwriting support: Support the flood underwriting team by providing data-driven insights for individual high-value accounts and policy renewals. This includes analyzing flood zone determinations, historical claims data, submission data and modelled loss estimates to assist in risk selection and pricing both algorithmic and analog. Improve sophistication of digital underwriting capabilities.
Stakeholder collaboration: Work closely with underwriters, catastrophe modelling specialists, actuaries, and product managers to understand business needs and develop analytical solutions. Ensure that analytics align with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Communication of insights: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable insights and communicate them to both technical and non-technical stakeholders (e.g. underwriting teams, executives), through presentations, reports, and visualizations.
Process improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of internal tools, models, and processes (such as GIS mapping tools or data pipeline automation) to improve efficiency in risk analysis and exposure management.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Summary:
Government Claims Processor/Examiners are a key part of the department's successful operation. Processor/Examiners are in daily contact with team members, clients and providers. This position reports to the Supervisor, Government Operations. A cheerful, competent and compassionate attitude will directly impact the productivity of the team. Attendance can also directly impact the satisfaction level of our clients and retention of our accounts.
Responsibilities:
Process claims accurately, efficiently and within production requirements
Exhibit an attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Ability to access research tools for accurate claims entry
Be organized and able to manage time and resources efficiently and effectively
Thorough knowledge of coding structures (CPT, HCPCS, Rev codes, ICD 9/10 etc)
Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
Knowledgeable of COB
Familiarity with benefits and benefit calculations
Ability to handle many types of claims pricing (Network, Medicare, UCR etc)
Performs duties in a HIPAA compliant manner
Participate as a Team Member to ensure the smooth operation of the entire department
Maintain guidelines and notes with detail to enable accurate claims examination
Maintain production goals regarding the number of claims entered and accuracy percentages.
Qualifications:
Proficient in the use of desktop computer software.
Excellent communication via written, telephonic and personal
Ability to manage and follow through consistently and accurately
Attention to detail
Completion of all responsibilities in a timely manner
Highly organized work habits
