The Department of Allied Health seeks qualified adjunct faculty to teach lab courses in the BS in Respiratory Therapy Entry into Practice Program. The Laboratory Instructor for the BS in Respiratory Therapy program is responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences that reinforce didactic instruction and support the development of clinical competencies in respiratory care students. The Lab Instructor guides students in the safe and effective application of respiratory therapy techniques, ensures compliance with professional standards, and fosters an environment of clinical excellence, critical thinking, and interprofessional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reports to the Director of Clinical Education/Primary Lab Instructor
* Coordinates with the primary lab instructor to deliver laboratory instruction in respiratory therapy procedures, equipment usage, and patient care simulations in alignment with course objectives.
* Demonstrate and supervise psychomotor skills such as patient assessment, oxygen and other medical gas delivery, humidity, bland and medicated aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene and lung expansion therapy and other therapeutic modalities, arteriotomy, arterial blood gas interpretation and other basic non-invasive diagnostic modalities.
* Evaluate student performance through skill checkoffs in Trajecsys, simulations, and competency-based assessments
* Maintain an organized and safe lab environment, ensuring all equipment is functional, clean, and properly stored
* Collaborate with faculty and clinical coordinators to align lab activities with clinical expectations and curricular goals
* Provide constructive feedback to students to promote growth, professionalism, and clinical readiness
* Participate in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and program improvement initiatives as needed
* Serve as a role model for ethical practice, professional behavior, and patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related Health Sciences field
* Active NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
* Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in the applicable state
* Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in respiratory care
* Strong understanding of adult learning principles and competency-based education
* Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
* Master's degree, preferably in respiratory therapy or related health sciences field
* Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience in an academic or training setting
* Experience with simulation or instructional technology in health education
* Membership in relevant professional organizations (e.g., AARC, NBRC)
* Current BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification
Work Environment:
* Laboratory and simulation-based learning environments within the Respiratory Therapy program course Labs on the Rowan College of South Jersey campus in Sewell, NJ
* Lab hours are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Monday and Tuesday morning and afternoon
* Some Friday hours may be required based on lab scheduling, testing and remediation

Offering entry-level and degree-advancement programs leading to the Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy, the Rowan University Respiratory Therapy program is located in the new Health Sciences Center on the campus of Rowan College of Jersey in Sewell, NJ. The entry-level and degree-advancement baccalaureate programs hold provisional accreditation by the Council on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and will enroll students beginning in the Fall 2023 term.
Clinical instructors for the program will lead groups of 6 junior respiratory therapy students in various clinical settings with the overall goal of developing and strengthening each student's cognitive, psychomotor, and affective clinical skills. Clinical instructors will be responsible for signing off procedural competencies, and evaluation of overall affective clinical performance in a variety of settings.
RU-BSRT clinical instructors will pioneer a new model for clinical preceptors as they function in the role of mentor, instructor, advisor, and clinical expert. The overall goal for the instructor is to work with students to coordinate the daily assignments with the RT department to maximize delivery of safe and effective patient care during each clinical rotation. The instructor will remain a solid and involved resource and continue to direct the student's growth for the entire clinical experience.

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a per diem Physician Assistant for the department of Surgery at the New Jersey Medical School.
Under the direction and supervision of a Dr. Keri Lunsford, provides health care services to patients and assist in the management of patients under clinical trial in the Division of Transplant and HPB Surgery at Rutgers NJMS. PA should have specialized knowledge and experience in organ donation, liver transplant, complications of liver transplant, and the evaluation and management of liver transplant patients both prior to and following transplantation. In addition to clinical duties, the PA will be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of clinical trial records, assessment of complications occurring following clinical trial enrollment, and entry and audit of clinical data into the data management system. They will be required to undergo training and certification in clinical trial data management and human subjects research, and they will interface with clinical and research personnel.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Examines patient, performs comprehensive physical examination, and compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Provides documentation for patient clinical assessment for those enrolled in liver transplant clinical trials.
Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviations from normal and ensure protocol compliance for patients enrolled in liver transplant clinical trials.
Performs therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provisions of continuity of care for clinical trial patients.
Instructs and counsels patients regarding enrollment and consent for clinical trials in liver transplant, compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens, expected clinical course prior to and following liver transplant, physical frailty, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.

Research resources include extensive health services data on hundreds of millions of individuals covered by Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance. The Advanced Cardiac Imaging Physician Specialist is a position which includes hands-on, supervised clinical training, research, formal didactics, and multi-imaging conferences. Training will encompass 0.8 FTE, and 0.2 FTE will be for clinical needs for independent ECG reading, outpatient clinics or for filling in for cardiology consult services using point-of-care cardiac ultrasound services.

The candidate will be eligible for a faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor or greater pending experience. The VCR will serve as a leader in advancing the research mission of the department. The VCR will work collaboratively with the chair and vice chairs for academic affairs and clinical operations to ensure all missions of the department are respected and advanced. Reporting to the Director of Special Collections and University Archives, the Metadata Archivist will take a leadership role in creating finding aids for SCUA archival holdings. Additionally, this position will lead the migration of legacy finding aids to RUL's ArchivesSpace platform and create base-level finding aids for unprocessed collections. The incumbent will be a member of the New Brunswick Libraries faculty, a team of librarians committed to providing exceptional services to a diverse population of faculty, students, and community users.
