Implement, assemble and maintain Catering Services files Process Resort meter mail and overnight all requested correspondence and mass mailings. Email/fax correspondence information. Assemble Wedding and Menu kits. Enter local catering tentative and definite data into Delphi. Implement and distribute daily and weekly Catering updates. Order office supplies. Write and process purchase orders for check requests, estimates, etc. Coordinate Catering requests with other departments, (i.e. Housekeeping, Maintenance, etc.) Oversee and keep office areas attractive and clean. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property; nights, weekends and holidays. REQUIREMENTS Must adhere to standards of operations and professionalism. Excellent writing skills required. Friendly and courteous telephone manner. Prompt attendance and willingness to work and perform all duties in a timely manner. Professional appearance at all times. REQUIRED LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, OR KNOWLEDGE Proficient in Word and Excel. Servers must be fully dressed in appropriate uniform before shift begins. Must know and fully understand the menu. Before the start of each meal period become knowledgeable of any specials. This would include ingredients and how entree is prepared. Serve all food & beverage orders promptly. Examine your order before you leave the kitchen. For example: If guest does not have soup - remove soup spoon Make sure place setting is complete for next course Once guest is finished each course remove plates Remove pepper after entree is completed Inquire if guest wishes to have dessert, set table accordingly After the last course if finished the only thing that should be remaining on the table is the water glass or coffee/tea cup Remember when you are not tending to other guests you should remain on the cafe floor until guest has left your assigned serving area. If you must leave your station for a period of time make sure another server can cover your station. Make every trip count, never carry an empty tray. Keep your station and service area clean and neat at all times. Your station's floor is your responsibility. Never have try stands or trays on the floor. Make sure floor is swept at the end of the meal period. To prevent serious accidents, keep traffic areas clear of obstacles, pick up all cafe debris and wipe up all spills immediately. Check your shoes to ensure you are not tracking, into the Cafe, any kitchen debris or grease. Florida Health Code: All employees must wash their hands thoroughly after using rest room. Maintain cooperative team like attitude in working with the manager, supervisors and fellow team members, both within the department and other resort departments. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to work flexible shifts and days. Overtime work as required. Must be able to read, write and communicate in the English language.
