The Role
As a Production Assembly Technician at our company, you will play a vital role in assembling and rebuilding subsystems for our ocean-going vehicles. These subsystems include cameras, actuators, and battery systems. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including soldering, harness assembly, mechanical assembly, and testing. Whether you're working on a one-off prototype or a production batch, your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential. You'll need to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions accurately while maintaining a well-organized workspace. Collaboration and problem-solving will be key as you work alongside our Production Team to build innovative and high-quality products.
Responsibilities
* Work on new products with limited formal work instructions
* Builds critically, ultimately being able to recognize when to stop and ask questions by drawing on previous experience
* Contribute to fitting, building, or reconstructing various parts within required timelines.
* Maintains high-quality of work at all times, prioritizing attention to detail above all else
* Is able to interpret and follow engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and work instructions

* Update and maintain records of test results and inspection procedures.

* Foresees production problems ahead of time, ie: calling out low inventory items, suggesting new tools/jigs, flagging issues seen during assembly
Desired Experience Level
* 2-4 years work experience in a production assembly environment
* Has experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Assembling of electro-mechanical assemblies
* Testing sub-assemblies
* PCBA work: hand solder / repair
* Harnesses assembly
* Metal fabrication (e.g. mill/lathe)
* Works comfortably and with good speed and quality in electro-mechanical assemblies
* Ideally completion of formal certification in electronics or engineering, typically industry apprenticeship, AA degree, or Bachelor's degree
* Strong communication skills
* Working onsite in our Alameda HQ, 5-days per week.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to stand for extended periods of up to 8 hours per shift.
* Capable of lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 40 pounds.

The Role
Saildrone is seeking qualified Mission Controllers to join the team at Saildrone, HQ in Alameda CA. The Saildrone Mission Controller's primary responsibilities are to plan the operational on-the-water aspects of a diverse set of missions. Monitoring vehicle performance and vehicle health, communicating both internally and externally in service to our customers. Mission Controllers are positioned at a crucial crossroads in the organization, communicating mission objectives and technical expertise and to several stakeholders. Candidates can expect their day to day work to be spent on the forefront of industry leading autonomous vehicle operations worldwide.
Responsibilities
Mission Readiness
Assess mission feasibility in partnership with Program Delivery and Sales teams
Saildrone POC for local maritime authorities, Coast Guard, Vessel Traffic, & Port captains.
Manage Reserves and Sanctuaries access permissions and special reporting.
Assist customers with routing suggestions to optimize mission outcomes
Manage customer communications on Saildrone's mission portal, routing and concept of operations (CONOPS), and connecting technical issues to internal SMEs
Participate in regular customer meetings and provide customer training when appropriate
Actively develop and refine process documentation integral to Mission Control operations
Fleet Execution
Coordinate with the Fleet Captains across Surveyor, Voyager, and Explorer fleets related to mission readiness, drone allocation, deployments, & recoveries.
Liaise with Technical Operations teams to ensure mission readiness and support troubleshooting of drone issues on mission.
Oversee the daily mission drone operations, coordinating with drone operators (pilots) and program managers to ensure consistent operations and customer support.
Passage planning, regional weather watch, global maritime operations
Monitor the health of the drone fleet, and provide updates and feedback to external and internal stakeholders
Manage timelines and provide mission status updates regarding on-the-water operations to all relevant parties
Communicate daily mission objectives to enable successful piloting and tasking 24/7/365
Cross Functional
Partner with Product team to develop and support roadmapping for continuous improvements to user interfaces
Provide feedback to internal teams regarding drone performance and health issues to support quality
Partner with R&D teams to develop and execute test plans for new products and features
Required Skills and Experience
Deep understanding of maritime operations, including navigation, COLREGS and safety procedures
Experience within Command and Control Center environments

The Role
The Head of Software will lead Saildrone's software engineering organization, overseeing all our software efforts from actuator control to image processing to cloud data pipelines. The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Build Systems Engineer with expertise in Bazel who will lead our Build and Release team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our software build systems using Bazel, ensuring efficient and reliable build processes for our software projects. As a Software Build Systems Engineer, you will collaborate closely with development teams, DevOps engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize and streamline our build systems, enabling faster and more efficient software development and release cycles. You will split your time between hands-on development and leading a small engineering team (1-2 ICs) to ensure successful execution of a roadmap in alignment with other software teams and business objectives.

The Head of Mission Execution is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the successful operational delivery of our USV-powered customer missions globally. This role is pivotal for driving revenue and customer satisfaction by ensuring our fleet is maximized for performance, reliability, schedule attainment, and cost-efficiency.
You will lead global, 24/7 operational teams to maintain, allocate, and execute customer missions. In collaboration with the Fleet Captains, who manage USV class types (Explorer, Voyager, Surveyor, and Spectre), you will plan and schedule missions and develop forward operating bases based on regional growth and specific customer needs. Supporting teams-Bridge, Service, Logistics, and Technical Engineering-provide navigation, maintenance, troubleshooting, spare parts, and logistical support across international locations, providing real-time feedback to the supporting organizations within Saildrone for rapid response to mission uptime.
This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is located in Alameda, California.

: Ensure peak operational control and maximize USV uptime to meet business objectives and growth targets.

About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and enthusiastic Deckhand to join our crew. As a Deckhand, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the support vessel,

Secondary Role

Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as varnishing, painting, and checking safety equipment. Clean and maintain the vessel's interior, as directed by the Captain. Assist with fuel bunkering operations.
Safety & Emergency Procedures: Be aware of all safety procedures and ensure the deck is kept clear of obstacles. Participate in regular safety drills and assist in the implementation of emergency protocols.
Team Support: Work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel and offer support with any tasks as required.

The Role

The Role

The Role
Saildrone is searching for a Manager of Revenue to serve as a key business partner to Sales, Contracting and Program Management and as a key technical accounting resource to Finance in relation to revenue recognition. They will be responsible for managing end to end Revenue processes, from planning to recognition to collections. The Manager of Revenue will also assist with a variety of additional technical matters including the adoption of new accounting standards and other Ad hoc matters as they arise. This role reports to the VP of Finance and collaborates extensively with Accounting, Controllership and FP&A.
Responsibilities
Analyze the accounting treatment of new contracts, including both routine and non-routine revenue transactions, and prepare accounting memorandum for each transaction on a periodic basis. Own and maintain Sales Orders and related elements in the Advanced Revenue Management Module.
Conduct all revenue-related transactions for all period close cycles (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including invoicing, cash payment application, revenue recognition, deferred revenue maintenance, credit memoranda, and all related account reconciliations.
Collaborate with FP&A to assist with revenue forecasting activities, including estimating mission revenue recognition timelines based on available information from Mission Management and Sales.
Assist in the preparation and review of periodic financial reporting, including budget-to-actual variance analysis related to revenues, customer revenue collections, and deferred revenues, and ensure accuracy and consistency of such materials.
Assist Accounting and Controllership with the efficient completion of the company's annual audit process, including providing reconciliation schedules, customer contracts and related analysis, revenue and deferred revenue schedules, audit testing samples, updates to footnote disclosures, and other revenue- or technical-accounting tasks that may be required.
As Saildrone expands its product offerings and develops new revenue models, the Manager of Revenue will support the accounting analysis for such products or revenue models, and will maintain the company's Revenue Recognition Policy, its NetSuite ARM module rules, and its relevant audit footnote disclosures to encompass these new revenue elements.
Ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures are in place and maintain compliance with SOX requirements for applicable processes.
Complete special projects and prepare analyses for senior management as requested.
Monitor communications from regulatory bodies, accounting firms and other external sources to remain appraised of new accounting practices and regulations, frequent areas of SEC staff comment, and interpretive accounting and disclosure guidance.
Education and Experience
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Accounting or Business required. CPA a strong plus.

The Role

The Role
The Head of Mission Execution is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing the successful operational delivery of our USV-powered customer missions globally. This role is pivotal for driving revenue and customer satisfaction by ensuring our fleet is maximized for performance, reliability, schedule attainment, and cost-efficiency.
You will lead global, 24/7 operational teams to maintain, allocate, and execute customer missions. In collaboration with the Fleet Captains, who manage USV class types (Explorer, Voyager, Surveyor, and Spectre), you will plan and schedule missions and develop forward operating bases based on regional growth and specific customer needs. Supporting teams-Bridge, Service, Logistics, and Technical Engineering-provide navigation, maintenance, troubleshooting, spare parts, and logistical support across international locations, providing real-time feedback to the supporting organizations within Saildrone for rapid response to mission uptime.
This role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and is located in Alameda, California.
Responsibilities
Key outcomes
* Maximize fleet performance and utilization: Ensure peak operational control and maximize USV uptime to meet business objectives and growth targets.
* Optimize operational efficiency: Right-size the fleet and balance the costs of maintenance and operation. Following standard commissioning procedures introducing new USV's into the fleet.

Vehicle Technical Operations
* First-Line Response: Provide initial technical response for all USV health-related incidents.
* Escalation Management: Determine escalation paths and priorities for breakdowns, performance issues, or vehicle capture.
* Readiness and Certification: Manage the readiness and commissioning process to achieve USV Class certification (e.g., ABS).
* System Expertise: Act as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for all USV functional capabilities, monitoring telemetry and leveraging feedback to engineering teams.
* On-Call Support: Provide 24/7 on-call system troubleshooting and coordinate field investigations with Service teams.
* Test and Validation: Conduct testing and validation of all engineering changes.
Required Skills and Experience
* 10+ years of maritime experience leading teams and organizations. Overseeing campaigns, which included; readiness, logistics, training, and execution of a successful outcome.

About the Role
We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, and enthusiastic Deckhand to join our crew. As a Deckhand, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the support vessel,
including watch-keeping, vessel maintenance, and support of Saildrone on-water operations. This position requires a strong work ethic, the ability to work well in a team, and a passion for working on the water for extended periods of time.
Key Responsibilities:
Deck Operations: Assist with the handling of dock lines, tow lines, launch and recovery of the vessels tender. Help with anchoring, docking, and mooring the yacht. Operates the boat tender to and from the shore and to and from Saildrone vehicles while offshore. Stand a watch while underway.
Saildrone Operational Support:
Primary Role
Operational readiness response time of 24 hours from time of notification from Saildrone Fleet Management to being underway to the rendezvous waypoint with Saildrone vehicle.
Swimmer (or support to the swimmer) in the water to manage any underwater repair and maintenance.
Rigging, splicing, etc
Watch-keeping on long voyages.
Towing operations when required up to 300+ nautical miles.
Provide in-port operations and deployment towing of Saildrone vehicles

Secondary Role
Support Saildrone field technicians as needed for repair work conducted on the water or at a predetermined service location on land.
Vessel Maintenance: Clean and maintain the vessel's exterior, including washing, polishing, and keeping the decks and hull in pristine condition. Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as varnishing, painting, and checking safety equipment. Clean and maintain the vessel's interior, as directed by the Captain. Assist with fuel bunkering operations.
Safety & Emergency Procedures: Be aware of all safety procedures and ensure the deck is kept clear of obstacles. Participate in regular safety drills and assist in the implementation of emergency protocols.
Team Support: Work closely with the Captain and other crew members to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel and offer support with any tasks as required.
Physical Requirements:
● Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to grasp, push and pull, bend, lift up to 75 lbs and reach with your hands and arms. Must be able to perform work on a computer that requires ability to operate a keyboard and other peripheral devices.
● Must be able to confirm as “fit for work” by demonstrating ability to swim and tread water
● Must be able to stand navigational watch for up to 6 hours.

The Role
Saildrone is searching for a Manager of Revenue to serve as a key business partner to Sales, Contracting and Program Management and as a key technical accounting resource to Finance in relation to revenue recognition. They will be responsible for managing end to end Revenue processes, from planning to recognition to collections. The Manager of Revenue will also assist with a variety of additional technical matters including the adoption of new accounting standards and other Ad hoc matters as they arise. This role reports to the VP of Finance and collaborates extensively with Accounting, Controllership and FP&A.
Responsibilities
* Analyze the accounting treatment of new contracts, including both routine and non-routine revenue transactions, and prepare accounting memorandum for each transaction on a periodic basis. Own and maintain Sales Orders and related elements in the Advanced Revenue Management Module.
* Conduct all revenue-related transactions for all period close cycles (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including invoicing, cash payment application, revenue recognition, deferred revenue maintenance, credit memoranda, and all related account reconciliations.
* Collaborate with FP&A to assist with revenue forecasting activities, including estimating mission revenue recognition timelines based on available information from Mission Management and Sales.
* Assist in the preparation and review of periodic financial reporting, including budget-to-actual variance analysis related to revenues, customer revenue collections, and deferred revenues, and ensure accuracy and consistency of such materials.
* Assist Accounting and Controllership with the efficient completion of the company's annual audit process, including providing reconciliation schedules, customer contracts and related analysis, revenue and deferred revenue schedules, audit testing samples, updates to footnote disclosures, and other revenue- or technical-accounting tasks that may be required.
* As Saildrone expands its product offerings and develops new revenue models, the Manager of Revenue will support the accounting analysis for such products or revenue models, and will maintain the company's Revenue Recognition Policy, its NetSuite ARM module rules, and its relevant audit footnote disclosures to encompass these new revenue elements.
* Ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures are in place and maintain compliance with SOX requirements for applicable processes.
* Complete special projects and prepare analyses for senior management as requested.
* Monitor communications from regulatory bodies, accounting firms and other external sources to remain appraised of new accounting practices and regulations, frequent areas of SEC staff comment, and interpretive accounting and disclosure guidance.
Education and Experience
* Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Accounting or Business required. CPA a strong plus.
* 7+ years of relevant experience in software or hardware company. A combination of public accounting and on-premise industry accounting experience is preferred, in Revenue Management, Revenue Operations, Deal Desk support highly preferred. Someone who has seen what great looks like.
