SAS Developer
to work directly with public health GIS analysts, coordinators, epidemiologists, and other technologists to design, develop, deploy, and maintain IT solutions using SAS. You will get to support new and existing SAS reports and data interfaces. Following an Agile DevOps methodology, you will also build and test systems on our exciting program that provides GIS solutions to address diverse, complex, and emerging problems within the public health domains of environmental health, infectious disease, chronic disease, and emergency preparedness/response. Our support includes the design, development, and enhancements of internal and external applications, websites, and database solutions with geospatial components. Our team develops innovative data capture and analysis techniques in the field to enhance emergency response efforts all around the world.

- Design, configure, customize, and deploy new features into existing solutions; build features from customer requirements, manage data flows, and perform\ routine maintenance, enhancements, and bug fixes
- Develop and manage a schedule to meet deliverables and establish estimated completion dates
- Follow the government’s software development lifecycle framework and provides agreed upon project documentation
- Support requirements elicitation and provide feedback to optimize requirements to align to development best practices; work with business owners and analysts to define workflows and develop user stories

- Must have or be able to obtain a Public Trust with the US federal government
- Three or more years of experience using SAS
- Knowledge of SAS best practices and performance tuning
- Strong SQL experience
- Experience in platform architecture, solution design, planning, developing, deployment, and security
- Experience in Section 508 compliant application development
