We are looking to hire a part-time Courtesy Shuttle Driver to work Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 3:30pm at our Silver Gardens location in Highland, in the Town of Lloyd.
The Courtesy Shuttle driver will provide transportation to tenants living at RUPCO's newest apartment complex, Silver Gardens. Transportation will be provided using the RUPCO owned shuttle van. The van is equipped with handicap accessible options to be able to transport tenants with and without mobility impairments. The van will run a local looped route throughout the day to drop off and pick up tenants at medical appointments, legal appointments, benefits appointments, food shopping, health and wellness activities, and other neighboring places that will help contribute to the tenant's independent and healthy living. This position reports directly to the Residential Property Management Supervisor.
Position Responsibilities:
Greet tenants who are using the courtesy transportation in a friendly and welcoming manner
Interact and assist tenants with boarding and exiting the bus
Abide by all rules of road to include all NYS laws regarding operation of a motor vehicle.
Responsible to make sure all passengers are safe and using appropriate safety belts and safety equipment designated for wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
Conduct a basic cleaning of bus after every run and a more thorough cleaning at the end of each shift.
Maintain an activity log of daily mileage, number of passengers, drop off and pick up locations
Report any traffic incidents immediately to management. Complete proper reports as required.
Call police to respond to ALL motor vehicle accidents despite the severity of the incident. A police report must be filed or documented in the law enforcement blotter as per Agency Auto insurance requirements.
