Qualifications

In this exciting role as a Sr Product Development Director, you will have primary responsibility for cross functional planning and execution of creating a new therapy in a new disease segment for Medtronic, including developing a fully implantable system, multiple research systems supporting clinical studies, and creating a modern digital health ecosystem. You will be responsible for delivering a winning cadence of innovation and accelerating new product introductions in this new segment. This includes leading and managing all activities required to define, design, develop and deliver new medical device products and services for this new disease segment. In your role, you will establish program priorities, implement clear operating mechanisms that organize partnering functions, and drive program execution to meet customer needs and financial goals of the business. You will create and uphold a high-performance culture with customer focus, creative and determined problem solving, partnership and candor. You will collaborate with various functions across the Operating Unit, including but not limited to Research and Development, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Operations, and Marketing, to drive global market access and adoption of a new class III implantable electrical stimulation therapy worldwide. You will report directly to the VP of New Therapies and contribute directly to developing and advancing the new business's broader set of strategies and goals.

A Day in The Life

  • Directs, designs and implements a comprehensive product management strategy. Establishes detailed program plans, drives execution toward established objectives, assesses risk and implements strategies to ensure successful delivery of the product portfolio from concept to commercialization.
  • Guides cross-functional core team members and program managers that formally report into functions supporting the new business.
