A senior quality control analyst ensures that quality assurance is maintained for an organization. Some of your duties include evaluating the quality of raw materials and finished goods and ensure compliance with established standards. You will be required to compile, analyze, and document statistical data to help ensure compliance with established quality standards. Your duties may differ depending on the field you are working in. When working in a manufacturing plant, you must ensure that experiments are completed according to established Standard Operating Practices (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), or Good Clinical Practices (GCP). When working with information services, you will be required to perform external vendor audits and internal audits for current GMP compliance.

A bachelor's degree in a field related to your preferred industry is the minimum qualification required for this job. Attention to detail, teamwork, great communication skills, and knowledge of relevant tools are required to execute this role effectively. The average salary is about $80,000 annually.

Due to the pandemic, it will likely be more complicated than usual to find a job right away in the current economic situation. Companies are probably weighing the pros and cons of remaining open at all right now, so the prospect of filling vacant positions is secondary. But don't panic! Keep in touch with as many contacts as possible. Personal connections can be the best path to unexpected career opportunities.
