We need you to fill the role of Personal Trainer. This is a part-time, hourly (non-exempt) position. Trainers will conduct a variety of assessments beginning with a preparticipation health-screening and may also include assessments of posture and movement, flexibility, balance, core function, cardio-respiratory fitness, muscular fitness, body composition, and skill-related parameters (e.g. power, agility, coordination, speed, and reactivity) to observe and gather relevant information needed to develop an effective exercise program and support client goal attainment. About the Job
Group Exercise Instructors are responsible for leading in-person group exercise classes safely and effectively; assisting in program administration; managing class-related facility and equipment care; providing excellent customer service; participating in program marketing efforts; and completing occasional training and continuing education requirements. We need you to fill the role of our Barre Group Exercise Instructor. This is a part time, non-exempt, position. You'll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:
Design, choreograph, and lead Barre classes in-person according to current industry standards for safety and effectiveness, including proper warm-ups, cool-downs, and exercise/movement progressions.
Teach, demonstrate, promote and communicate proper class-specific exercise technique and form to achieve a safe and effective workout.
Provide safe, appropriate, and effective exercise modifications when needed or requested by participants with an emphasis on injury prevention.
Promote, enforce, and adhere to all program policies (i.e., class capacity limits, late-admission restrictions, music selection guidelines, etc.).
Maintain a welcoming, positive, encouraging, inclusive, and non-intimidating classroom atmosphere.
Return equipment and supplies to their proper condition and cleanliness, storage-space, and organization prior to the end of each class session's room reservation.
Support in the supervision of the safety and welfare of members throughout the fitness center.
Maintain current accredited and/or licensed certifications for the class-formats being instructed.
Requirements
Must be able to teach a minimum of 2 classes a week.
Proof of the appropriate certification for class type applying to teach and a CPR and AED certification.
Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
Arrive to class location at least 15 minutes before class start time, in time to be fully set-up and prepared to begin instruction by at least 5-minutes prior to scheduled class start-time.
Begin and end class sessions on-time, according to the advertised schedule and class-duration.
Manage your own schedule, including sending calendar invites, cancellations, and notification of changes.
Candidates with formal education, specialized certifications and trainings are highly preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Constant flow of foot traffic in and out of workspace.
Constant low and medium level background noise.

Ability to carry, lift, and transfer 25-65 pounds.
Ability to demonstrate appropriate use of fitness equipment related to class.
Required education and experience:
HS graduation or GED.
Must be currently certified in CPR and AED (Acceptable certifications include American Heart Association and American Red Cross; any other certification must be approved by the hiring manager).
A currently valid professional certification or degree from 2 or more of the following categories:
A Group Exercise Instructor certification from an NCCA-accredited organization (i.e. ACE, AFAA, NCCPT, NETA, etc.).
A college degree in a related field (i.e. Kinesiology, Physical Education, Dance, or comparable).
A current format-specific group exercise instruction certification and/or license (i.e. Yoga Alliance, Pilates, Zumba, Barre, Kickboxing, etc.).
Preferred Education and Experience
Direct experience related to the responsibilities of the position.
Candidates with formal education, specialized certifications and trainings are highly preferred.

Under the general supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Director, employees perform the full range of duties involved with the organization and delivery of fitness and wellness services and programs, specifically with personal training, recovery services, and group exercise classes. Register members for programs and help process transactions.

The Jewish Family Service (JFS) Licensed Clinical Therapist will provide counseling and therapy to JFS clients in individual, family, and group interventions, with a targeted focus on Israelis and Hebrew-speakers. Billing is handled by the agency, so you can deliver client-centered social services, education, and professional services in a collaborative community setting. In addition to providing client-centered therapeutic interventions, the Clinical Therapist will serve to link clients to integrated services and community resources that address their individual needs. This is a CONTRACT, 1099 position.
What you will be doing:
Counseling
- Perform on-site and/or remote telehealth clinical counseling services to Jewish Family Service clients, in accordance with agency policies. Clinical responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment implementation as appropriate. Service demographics include adults, couples, and families. Interventions may include individual and group therapy, case management, and crisis intervention. Maintain caseload and meet with clients routinely to review progress and accountability.
Collaboration
- Partners closely with JFS team to serve the needs of clients and community.
Outreach
- Connects with the Hebrew-speaking and Israeli community in Greater Austin to provide connection and education about JFS services. Outreach duties may include psychoeducation, workshops, and other targeted support for this population.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Maintains professional and timely documentation of services in electronic medical record including, but not limited to intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, contract notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time. Tracks and uses program-related data to enhance service effectiveness. Check and respond to emails regularly to ensure awareness of updated policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Graduated from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or Doctoral level degree in social work, psychology, counseling.
Independent Licensure to practice in good standing in the State of Texas (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PhD, PsyD)
Experience counseling adults, couples, and families with a variety of mental health needs
Excellent time management and written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent Hebrew-speaker, in addition to cultural competence with Judaism and Israeli culture
Preferred education and experience:

Our Spin Studio is equipped with power metering bikes, and we are looking for fun, energetic, and knowledgeable part-time spin instructor. Preferably proficient in MyZone and/or able to create heart rate training zone rides. Our class schedule is flexible, and our community is stable and dedicated.
We are looking for an instructor who will help our members safely meet their cycling and spinning goals. About the Job
The JFS Clinical Therapist provides counseling and therapy to JFS clients weekly through individual, family, and group interventions. The primary population served is clients aged 55 and older.
