The Sheet Metal Technician will manufacture critical systems and maintenance mockup integration, and electrical system support. Specific manufacturing activities and expertise include skills such as; electrical/mechanical fabrication, critical breathing systems support, welder, sheet metal, machine tooling, wood working, soft goods for mockup training hardware and diving and breathing support systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operates manufacturing equipment and in-process instrumentation to manufacture mechanical hardware and basic electrical work. Fabricate projects using basic skills. Installs electronic parts and hardware, using soldering equipment and hand tools. Specific manufacturing activities and expertise include fabrication and maintenance of electro/mechanical systems for mock flight hardware trainers. Read engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, machine, or piece of equipment. Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met. Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to read engineering drawings and must possess good mathematical skills. Must be able to pass an annual physical. Must have some experience with forklift operations. Must have experience using various hand tools and the hand dexterity to use them.
