Position Summary

Essential Functions
The Dean of Students works alongside and in collaboration with the Principals and the Counselor through:
Administers disciplinary procedures in accordance with school policies and state laws; receives referrals and confers with students, parents, teachers, community agencies, and law enforcement; responds to and resolves parent, student, and staff concerns and complaints; handles student discipline referrals from staff; serves on discipline task forces as assigned
Assist the School-wide Discipline Task Force with implementation of Education Programs
Document and implement Response to Intervention (RTI) & Multi-Tier System Support (MTSS) plans
Encourage multiple avenues to communicate with students such as Restorative Practice and Character Education
Performs a variety of administrative duties to assist the Principal in managing the school
Maintains records of student disciplinary action taken and student attendance
Monitors students during lunch, recess, passing periods, and other activities; instructs students in appropriate behavior; disciplines students in accordance with established guidelines
Supervises activities, including evening activities as assigned
Attends meetings of parents and other groups as assigned
Works with the Principal to establish a safe and secure learning environment for students
Prepares and maintains a variety of district, county, state, and federal records and reports
Supervise before school traffic, playground, lunch duty and after school departure and traffic as needed
Execute any other tasks to ensure the safety and well-being of students, teachers, and staff
Reads, interprets, applies, and explains rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment
Work in partnership with Student Success Coordinators to align behavior expectations with instructional goals.
Support teachers with classroom management strategies, restorative practices, and behavior intervention techniques.
Assist in developing and implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to create a positive school climate.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Athletic & Activities Director provides leadership, supervision, and oversight for all aspects of high school athletics and student activities. This certified administrative position is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring extracurricular programming that fosters student engagement, belonging, leadership, and equitable participation. The Director exercises significant independent judgment related to school operations and ensures alignment with district goals, CHSAA regulations, and safety expectations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. STUDENT-CENTERED PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
Lead a comprehensive athletics and activities program focused on expanding student opportunities and increasing participation across all student groups.
Implement systems to gather student voice and assess extracurricular interests to guide program expansion.
Promote student leadership, sportsmanship, and positive school culture.
Collaborate with families, staff, and community partners to remove barriers to participation and ensure equitable access.
II. PROGRAM DESIGN, SCHEDULING, AND OPERATIONS
Schedule all athletic events, competitions, practices, and student activities, including dances, assemblies, and co-curricular events.
Oversee facility scheduling and ensure fair and efficient use of athletic spaces.
Coordinate officials, scorekeepers, timekeepers, and event supervision.
Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate all coaching staff and activity sponsors.
Manage program budgets, equipment purchasing, and inventory.
Coordinate transportation for athletics and activities.
Budget and Resource Management
Prepare, monitor, and manage high school athletic budgets, including equipment, uniforms, officials, and travel.
Ensure accountability for gate receipts, fundraising, and other revenue sources.
Advocate for athletic program needs in district budget processes.
III. COMPLIANCE, SAFETY, AND SCHOOL CULTURE
Ensure compliance with CHSAA and district policies governing athletics and activities.
Lead student supervision and behavior expectations at events.
Support school safety efforts in collaboration with district personnel and community safety partners.
Assist with incident documentation, emergency response drills, and investigations as assigned.
IV. DATA MONITORING, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Develop and implement metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, including participation rates, equity of access, and student satisfaction.
Monitor academic eligibility and collaborate with staff to support student success.
Conduct annual reviews of all athletic and activity programs and provide recommendations to school and district leadership.
Utilize data to identify programming gaps and propose new opportunities aligned with student needs.
Work closely with the Elementary-Middle School Athletics to align feeder programs with high school athletics.
Collaborate with district leadership on strategic planning, facilities, and equity initiatives for athletics.

Serve as liaison among coaches, sponsors, students, families, CHSAA, district personnel, and community partners.

The Department of Civil Engineering and Construction in the College of Engineering, Design and Computing at the University of ColoradoDenver invites applications for the position of Professor and Construction Director. Successful candidates will be senior engineers and educators with demonstrated experience and capability to\: 1) lead a fast-growing and exceptionally translational program to the next stage of success; 2) mentor and engage a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial group of faculty and students; 3) develop and execute on an ambitious vision for programmatic growth across research, training, entrepreneurship, and service in construction management and construction engineering management; and 4) and grow and engage a large existing industrial advisory board. Candidates should have an exceptional record of collaborative leadership in research, education and service, and must be eligible to be appointed as a full professor with tenure at the University of Colorado.
Teaching duties will be in construction engineering management, including these immediate needs\: Construction Management Fundamentals, Field Engineering and Management, Materials and Methods, Advanced Construction Engineering, Construction Safety, and Construction Engineering.

About the Department
The Civil Engineering and Construction department has 10 full time tenured and tenure track faculty, 3 clinical teaching track, and many part time lecturers. The department offers undergraduate and graduate degrees, including masters and doctoral, in civil engineering, construction engineering management, and construction management. While the civil engineering program has been accredited continuously since its inception, the newly formed construction disciplines were first accredited in 2023. In 2022, the full department had 70 graduate students and 190 undergraduate students. Of these, approximately 40% are in the construction program.
About the Program
The Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) program at the University of ColoradoDenver (CU Denver) was launched Fall 2014 as a graduate specialty of the Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering in response to local industry request and support. Work started on two bachelor's degrees in 2017\: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Construction Management (CM) and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Management (CEM). CEDC went forward with both degrees because of the interdisciplinary support throughout the College and other Colleges within the University, especially the College of Architecture and Planning and the Business School. The two BS degrees were approved by CU Denver, the University of Colorado Regents, and the Colorado Department of Higher Education Fall 2019 and the degrees were launched in August 2020 and accredited by ABET in 2023.
Professor and Director
What you will do:
• Provide leadership to develop and implement vision and strategy for the program to continually strengthen its teaching, research, and student support; lead efforts to strengthen access and engagement; enhance collaboration with programs across the College of Engineering, Design and Computing, and across the campuses in general; amplify industry engagement; and increase the programs regional and national visibility and reputation. The programs and department's strategy will align with and contribute to strategies of the college and CU Denver and CU system.
• Lead the program to strategically grow undergraduate and graduate enrollment in degree and other credentialing programs through retention and contemporary curriculum/program development efforts that leverage investments in technology and human capital across campus.
• Lead and grow fundraising for program activities, identify and pursue opportunities to expand and diversify revenue streams; develop a strong industry advisory council that advises and advocates for the program and contributes to resource generation.
• Facilitate a collaborative culture and environment for research in the program with active collaborations with academia, industry, and government agencies; foster productive interdisciplinary relationships with entities across the college and CU Denver
• Work with the department chair to oversee management of the program with budgetary responsibilities for strategic, academic, and operational development.

If teaching the same camp for a different age group, educators will be compensated an additional 5 hours of prep work. Camp sessions run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. Educators are expected to report from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm to prepare their classrooms before camp and to clean up after each day.
Pay Range: $30-$32/hour based on experience.

What You'll Do
As a Summer Camp Lead Educator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing
art-based lesson plans that connect to the DAM collection
. You will guide up to 20 campers through in-gallery experiences and art projects relating to these experiences. You will:

Compile a supply list (within given budget)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop lesson plans, activities, and assessments that lead students to the successful attainment of identified course competencies with assistance from the Department Chair/Lead Faculty.
* Evaluate student performance in accordance with student learning outcomes as stated in the course syllabus.
* Teach assigned classes in keeping with community college philosophy.
* Be knowledgeable about pedagogy, methods, retention, inclusion, and assessment of outcomes (or be available and willing to receive training in these areas)
* Provide the Department Chair/Lead Faculty with a copy of the course syllabus for review based on the scheduled due dates for the semesters.
* On the first day of class, provide students with a syllabus for the course that includes all components of the course model syllabus and the competencies established in the Colorado Common Course Numbering System (CCNS).
* Conduct student evaluations of instruction in accordance with established policies and procedures at the end of the semester.
* Maintain accurate records of attendance and grading of students in the college learning management system-Desire2Learn (D2L)-and submit required records according to published instructions and deadlines.
* Attend the required department/faculty meetings.
* Complete the mandatory trainings - D2L, New Faculty and Instructor Orientation, and Web Accessibility. Instructors must also complete the Foundations of Online Teaching and Learning training to be eligible for teaching online courses.
* Participate in coaching/mentoring and assessment initiatives established by Department Chair/Lead Faculty.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Master's degree from an accredited college/university, with 60 total credits in one of the related degrees listed below.
* OR
* Master's degree in related content area, AND 18 graduate credits in one of the related degrees listed below. Related Degrees: Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry/Science Education, Materials Science, Polymer Science, or Chemical Physics.
* Demonstrated excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to use a collegiate learning management system (LMS).
* Ability to teach courses in-person at the Centre Tech campus.
* Available to teach days and/or evenings.
* Experience in teaching introductory courses with lab work.

2. Observe the children and monitor the safety and security of the building at all times to ensure the children's health and safety. Distribute medicine to students as directed and provide general First Aid when needed. Maintain student to staff ratios.
3. Assist BASE Program director with developing and supporting BASE Program site aides including mentoring, training, and completing paperwork, interviewing and hiring. Supervise and maintain order of staff and students and communicate any issues to the site director. May be responsible for review, approval and verification of reported time using the district time and labor system.
4. Communicate with parents, staff and teachers information regarding child and/or program.
5. Call parents to get authorization for an unauthorized adult to pick up the student from the program. Check identification of adults picking up students
6. Open and close school building and secure school building at the end of the program by locking doors and turning off lights.
7. Prepare snacks and clean the activity, cafeteria and kitchen areas after use.
8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in supervising and monitoring students.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be qualified based on the Department of Human Services regulations.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPR, First Aid and Universal Precautions Certifications are required within 90 days after entering position. Will be required to take medication administration training as needed.
• Must complete current state required annual continuing education (presently 15 hours minimum) related to one or more of the following: child growth and development, health and safe environment, developmentally appropriate practices, guidance, family relationships, cultural and individual diversity, and professionalism.

SALARY INFORMATION:
All Classified positions are paid on an hourly basis. All Newly hired classified employees are placed initially on Step 1 of the pay grade for their position. Classified employees can advance an additional 7 steps (maximum Step 8) based on their previous experience. Final hourly placement on the Classified Salary schedule is dependent on the Grade Level for the position being posted and employees' previous work experience. “Grade” refers to position or job classification and “Step” refers to the number of work experience credit or service years.
