Responsibilities
Field Service Test Technicians travel to customer sites (industrial & commercial) to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data of low, medium and high voltage (480 Volt to 600 kV) electrical systems.
Able to travel to customer job sites across the state and bordering states.
Instrument transformer tests.
Power transformer testing - Doble, TTR, Insulation Resistance, etc.
Preferred if proficient in testing both electro-mechanical and solid-state relays
Cable testing - Tan Delta, Power Factor, VLF, DC Hipot.
Automatic transfer switch troubleshooting.
Low, Medium and High voltage switchgear and circuit breaker testing.
Moderately complex relay calibration and power metering.
Rotate emergency on-call duty and if called respond to customer emergencies in a timely manner.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: to qualify for consideration, you must meet each of the following minimum qualifications and requirements.
Prefer an Associate's degree from an accredited 2 year technical college in Electrical Power & Controls (EPC), or a EE Degree from an ABET accredited college, similar experience and training from the military (Army Prime Power, Air Force Electrical Power Production, or NAVY Seabee)
NETA Certification (III or IV) or similar desired or Electrician license preferred
Must have at least 5 or more years of relevant experience performing switchgear testing & troubleshooting
Must have good PC skills including email, internet, data entry and Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerDB a plus
Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures
Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by Shermco
Must be able to drive daily locally/regionally and be available for periodic overnight travel
Other Requirements:
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests

Responsibilities

Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Production Supervisor is responsible for supervision of all daily production functions and personnel to meet on-time-delivery requirements while ensuring maximum quality and profitability. Position Responsibilities
* Works with Team Leads to coach, train, and mentor team members on work processes, work instructions, and employee performance. Trains staff on production best practices. Supervises a team of employees with responsibility for hiring, terminating, onboarding, evaluating, training, and developing.
* Trains proper and safe use of all production and packaging equipment, including CNC Mills, CNC Lathe, MIG/TIG welders, saws, hydraulic press etc, complying to safety procedures and policies.
* Meets daily with supply chain, production planning-scheduling, Team Leads, and warehouse stakeholders to review schedules and work priorities, and works through Production teams to ensure on-time shipments.
* Collaborates with others to optimize productivity and efficiency.
* Champions work cell area accountability and works with the team to develop and track targets using visual boards, charts, daily Gemba walks etc
* Drives optimization through production Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
* Hands-on key stakeholder in production work area; sets up work cells with ergonomics, flexibility, and throughput.
* Monitors production output and quality according to specifications.
* Prepares and presents production reports and progress to upper management.
* Utilizes Root Cause-Corrective Action to identify issues and find solutions.
* Oversees the maintenance, repair, and replacement of production equipment.
* Identifies and resolves any issues that could cause production delays.
* Creates/maintains all training, processes/manuals, and work instructions for the production team.
* Ensures that the daily inspection and completion of daily machinery checklists are assigned and completed at start of work shift. Communicates equipment nonconformance to upper mgmt.
* Develops and manages assigned 5S housekeeping tasks and is accountable for organization and cleanliness of the production work areas, ensuring that the production team is actively engaged.
Position Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Past or present skilled trades certifications is a plus.
* Minimum of 5-7 years of production experience required (preferably in welding and machine shop environments), with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Previous leadership experience in a production-assembly environment required.
* Previous experience with work cell data collection and productivity metric tracking desired.
* Prior working knowledge of welding and/or machining required. Experience with Haas CNC mills and lathes preferred.
* Familiarity with general industrial safety protocols (5S, ergonomics, etc.).
* Proven interpersonal skills.

On-Site Technical Support: Provide on-site assistance with electrical systems, covering installations, testing, and troubleshooting for voltages from 480V to 600kV.
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections, including transformer and relay tests, ensuring optimal equipment performance.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, including switchgear, circuit breaker, and relay calibration.
Client Interaction: Maintain professional client relationships, addressing inquiries and providing expert support, including timely responses to emergency calls.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of service activities, including reports, client feedback, and necessary product modifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and innovation projects.
Qualifications Requirements Preferred Education: Prefer an Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year program in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience: Relevant experience performing switchgear testing and troubleshooting is an asset.
Technical Skills: Good PC skills, including email, internet, data entry, and Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerDB is a plus.
Safety: Must be able to work safely and adhere to all electrical safety procedures.
Additional Training: Prefer OSHA 30 hour, MSHA, NFPA 70-E, CPR/First Aid/BBP/AED training; training on each can be provided by Shermco.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience, preferably in an engineering, industrial or heavy commercial industry. Preference given to candidates with a successful sales track record in a power related industry, preferably from the high-voltage (480 VAC to 345 kV) electrical equipment testing & maintenance industry, including electrical field Services, field commissioning & acceptance testing, engineering in general including Arc Flash, Coordination Studies, transient studies, load flow analysis and general power engineering, and small scale electrical T&D or Substations construction projects.
Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and highly motivated.
Strong interpersonal, communication, written and oral presentation skills and solid understanding of profitability and other financial measurements.
Strong sales skills including and effective negotiation skills, ability to successfully interact with key customer decision makers and influencers, and ability to prospect new customers and forecast future business.
Must be able to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills.
Required overnight travel 20% of the time.
