The Activities Site Manager serves as the on-site event leader and primary contact during school-sponsored activities and competitions. This position provides visible leadership and real-time decision-making to ensure events run smoothly and reflect the positive spirit of Albert Lea.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Oversee all on-site event operations for athletics, fine arts, and community events
Greet and check in officials, visiting teams, and guests
Supervise fans, crowd areas, and facility spaces to maintain a positive environment
Coordinate parking, gate entry, and crowd flow as needed
Communicate with game staff, coaches, custodians, and administrators to address issues promptly
Provide support for emergencies, facility concerns, or unexpected situations
Ensure events align with district, MSHSL, and school safety protocols
Promote a welcoming and student-centered atmosphere throughout each event
Qualifications:
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to remain calm, professional, and positive under pressure
Organized, reliable, and proactive in handling event details
Prior experience in event management, education, or athletics preferred (but not required)
Must be available for evening and weekend events
Training provided by the Activities Department
