Specific duties and responsibilities of a Shipping Technician include, but are not limited to,
Serve as a positive representation of the Select Sires, Inc. Mission and Core Values.
From distribution requests - accurately package bovine semen orders in designated shipping containers
Process shipping paperwork
Update inventory using proprietary software
Move product to appropriate storage location
Maintain liquid nitrogen levels in storage tanks and shipping containers
Move large inventory tanks
Assemble goblets and prepare canes with id tags
Detect and report defective material or questionable conditions to the shipping supervisor
Maintain work area and equipment in clean, orderly condition
Follow prescribed protocols and safety regulations
A Shipping Technician's work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Work schedules and duties are subject to change to meet departmental needs.

Shipping and receiving clerk job in Frederick, MD
LHH is currently partnering with an organization looking for a dependable and detail-focused Shipping & Receiving Specialist to support operations at our Frederick, MD facility. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity and is essential to maintaining the efficient movement of materials and products throughout the facility. Hourly pay will range between $19-$22 per hour based on experience. SAP experience is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
Accept, inspect, and confirm incoming deliveries by matching them with purchase orders and packing documentation
Record, label, and track all inbound and outbound shipments with accuracy
Package and prepare products for shipment in accordance with established shipping guidelines
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct routine cycle counts
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely receipt and distribution of materials
Keep the shipping and receiving areas clean, organized, and orderly
Adhere to all safety standards, policies, and company procedures
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
1-2 years of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environments
Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
