Role Overview
YOU WILL:
Help receive and process incoming orders for the production team
Process and prepare Fedex and UPS shipments for daily pickups before the end of day.
Ship and confirm all orders to ensure proper delivery to customers for consolidated pallets and made to order dropships.
Able to access and pallet completed orders to Schumacher's processing facility in Fort Mill, SC
Receive orders and accurately input quantities to ensure they match inventory in ERP.
Measure quantities of each order to ensure they match what was ordered.
Communicating with internal logistics at Schumacher to ensure timely pickups.
Ensure products are packed securely to ensure the safety of the product.
Pick orders and prepare them for small package or freight shipment by the ship date.
Generate packing lists.
Prepare fabric and wallpaper grounds in advance for printers at the end of each day.
Break down and re-palletize products.
Coordinating customs, brokers and clearance for overseas incoming and outgoing shipments.
Receive raw material shipments and accurately input received quantities into the ERP.
Be instrumental in implementing new tracking and inventory systems with operations and production teams.
Shrink wrapping, labeling and recording pallets and wallpaper orders.
Inspect all outgoing orders for damage or other quality control issues.
Track inventory related to shipping and general floor organization, submit replenishment numbers for ordering on a weekly basis.
Track weekly shipping targets and proactively communicate regarding deadlines, issues with orders and other flags.
Achieve proficiency across all other dept. functions and sub in as needed.
Dispose of trash and recyclable materials.
Assist in other operational functions as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* AS degree in Science and appropriate industry specific experience or BS degree.
* Knowledge of good aseptic technique and behaviors that can reduce cross contamination.
* Good conceptual basis in laboratory setting with proven ability to perform basic lab techniques.
* Critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
* Excellent organizational skills - ability to use your time, energy, resources, etc. in an effective manner.

1st Shift Distribution Associate
Hourly pay rate: $21.00
Schedules needed:
4am - 12:30pm Sunday - Thursday
4am - 12:30pm Tuesday - Saturday
Expectations:
* Unload case goods, bedding and/or upholstered furniture using a two wheel hand cart and second person assistance when needed.
* Palletize product and box product when necessary.
* Operate mobile lift equipment to bin product, place incoming product into the warehouse racks.
* Based on assigned load sheet, retrieve product from aisle racks after cleared by scanner, and load trailer.
* Pick-up breakage, miscellaneous wood, plastic and maintain housekeeping standards.
* Check for damaged product and do not load any damaged product for shipment to customer.
* Interact and respond professionally to co-workers requests.
* Meet established product rates and accuracy standards.
* You must have excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
* Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.
Qualifications:
* Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Work well with others and function in a team environment.
* Safely operate all required equipment.
* Must be able to move extremities and the spine through a functional range of motion allowing safe maneuvering of product from floor to overhead while material handling. The ability to work in awkward postures is occasionally required when performing all aspect of job.
* Must have sufficient strength in the trunk and extremities to perform tasks in multiple positions from the floor to overhead while material handling.
* Reaching- Associate must be able to extend hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while material handling.
* Handling- Associate must be able to seize, hold and grasp items typical of this job throughout the work period.
* Fingering- Associate must be able to pinch and work primarily with the fingers throughout the workday.
* Associate must demonstrate sufficient capacity to lift, carry and push-pull.
* Associate must also possess excellent balance to maintain equilibrium in all positions.
* The Distribution Warehouse Associate at Raymour & Flanigan meets the minimal physical demands consistent with a classification of Very-HEAVY. This rating is set forth by The United States Department of Labor.
* As a Distribution Warehouse Associate, the associate is exposed to a few slip and trip hazards. Pallets on the floor, wet weather, cold/hot temperatures on the loading dock and out in the yard. Warehouse temperature is mechanically heated, not cooled. The worker is exposed to cold, as they are required to work in and out of unheated trailers.
