With access to funds from the Bates Vincent Foundation, LAP is able to financially assist qualifying members of the legal profession In addition to the direct counseling work, LAP develops resources, holds training, and hosts affinity support groups with the goal of equipping and empowering members of the legal profession with the tools to manage stress, anxiety, secondary trauma, addiction concerns and other mental health issues. LAP works closely with key partners, including both Maryland Law Schools and the Attorney Grievance Commission. With the retirement of our current Director of LAP, MSBA now seeks a new Director of LAP to continue these valued and important services.
