May install products in entryways, on ceilings, floors, walls and columns. Returns props, furniture, floral products and other event décor to appropriate locations for storage. Works carefully to minimize damage and breakage of products. Sweeps and removes debris from event venues to ensure venue is left clean and without damage.     We are in search of Class A, B or C Truck Driver's with an active medical card and valid driver's license. The ideal candidate with be punctual, flexible, have excellent communication, be able to lift up to 50 LBS, push up to several hundred LBS and have experience using lift gates and ratchet straps. The follow is a description of what the job entails: JOB DESCRIPTION The position reports to the Fleet Manager, and is based in the West Loop of Chicago. Nights and weekends are required as needed, and candidates should expect a variable schedule based on our company's needs. Minimal interstate travel may be required. DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Proper and safe transport of our equipment is required, along with loading and unloading company vehicles. Candidates must also communicate effectively with co-workers on-site and maintain a professional demeanor. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Safely drive and operate 26' trucks daily. Familiarity with 26' straight trucks and their functions Ability to maneuver 26' trucks through Chicago, including backing into docks, driving under bridges, and turning down tight streets/alleys. Assist in loading and unloading trucks at our warehouse, on-site at venues, or at any vendor. Report any damage or incident to the truck or equipment to Fleet Manager immediately. Maintain vehicle(s) assigned for the day. Take direction from Fleet Manager and other managers on duty. Act professionally at all times while representing Sound Investment.
