St Julien Hotel & Spa is seeking a professional and trustworthy Overnight Security Officer to support our Security Manager in overseeing all aspects of safety and security for the property, Hotel guests, and our associates during the evening/overnight hours. Essential Job Functions: Treat all Hotel guests and associates with dignity, respect, and professionalism. Work closely with other departments to maintain a secure and welcoming environment while upholding the highest standards of guest service. Act as Manager on Duty for the entire property during overnight hours; provide supervision and support to all on-duty associates. Maintain a visible Security presence at all times by conducting regular patrols throughout all areas of the Hotel, including both public and associate spaces. Perform routine checks of Security and main building systems equipment; report any malfunctions/maintenance needs to the Security Manager in a timely manner. Coordinate and promptly respond to any emergency or security incident (fire alarms, medical emergencies, disturbances, etc.); liaise with law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed. Document all security incidents promptly using proper protocols. Monitor Hotel security cameras and building alarm systems on an ongoing basis each night in order to detect and prevent unsafe and/or suspicious activities. Maintain confidentiality of all Security and loss prevention reports/documents, releasing sensitive information only to appropriate, authorized individuals. Investigate and diffuse guest and/or associate incidents. Possess comprehensive knowledge of all property details in order to accurately answer guest inquiries. Enforce Hotel policies, procedures, and applicable regulations related to safety and security. Hold associates accountable to the policies and procedures of the Hotel; provide confident and professional conflict resolution as needed. Other duties as requested by Security Manager. Ideal Skills & Qualities: Represents themselves and the Hotel with the highest level of integrity, a service-focused demeanor, and a courteous, sincere attitude at all times. Must be able to communicate effectively and interact professionally with all levels of associates and guests. Demonstrated ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations. Qualifications: Previous security and/or loss prevention experience in a hotel or luxury hospitality setting highly preferred, but not required. Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license, and clean driving record. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, general computer knowledge, and proficiency using security technology and MS Office products required. Must be able to walk/stand for several hours at a time, lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and be physically able to respond quickly to emergency situations such as physical altercations. Job Overview The Director of Housekeeping is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the hotel, guest rooms, public areas and other assigned areas. Directs and coordinates all functions of the Housekeeping and Laundry departments and ensures impeccable levels of cleanliness and upkeep. Implements inventory and cost controls and ensures expenses are carefully managed. Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and team building skills with associates, peers and across departments. Responsibilities Supervise the housekeeping and laundry employees to attract, retain and motivate them while providing a safe work environment; interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, recommend and conduct performance and salary reviews and recommend discipline and termination, as appropriate. Supervise and inspect the daily cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house; ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction. Monitor and report on expenses (payroll and supplies) to aid in controlling costs while ensuring adequate staff and supplies are on hand to provide top quality services. Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction. Refer and follow-up on maintenance issues/problems with Engineering to protect hotel assets, ensure a safe, accident free environment for guests and employees and maintain/improve guest satisfaction. Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction. Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel's guests, staff and company assets. Qualifications Education/Formal Training One to two years of post high school education. Experience Experience required by position is from two to three full years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s). 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping operations preferred. Previous experience in a full service Director of Housekeeping role preferred. Experience working in a union environment preferred. Knowledge/Skills Requires thorough knowledge of the Housekeeping field. Requires knowledge of our company/hotel policies and procedures and the ability to determine course of action based on these guidelines. Requires supervision/management skills. Ability to compile facts and figures. Ability to analyze report data, prepare reports and initiate correspondence.
