What You Will Do
Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next case
Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets
Participate in regular on-site training
What You Need to Be Successful
High School diploma or GED
1 year Sterile Processing experience with CRCST or CBSPD certification or 2 years' experience
CRCST or CBSPD certification (or willing to complete within 12 months of hire)

Pay range for this opportunity is $22.68 - $29.35.

Job Description:
Valleygate Dental Surgery Center of Charlotte is looking for a part-time sterilization technician. The job duties include training, ordering supplies and assisting dental teams. Serve as back up to the surgery control team which includes performing and participating in decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation, equipment training and turning over rooms.
This opening is for a part-time schedule working 3 days per week: Mon, Wed and Fridays.
Job Purpose:
Primary responsibility is to sterilize instruments and prepare supplies in accordance with OSHA standards. Maintains all equipment used in attaining and assuring sterility. This position has the potential to assist the providers and assistants with a variety of oral health care services including radiographs, charting and operatory turnover.
Duties:
Prepares, cleans, organizes, and closes the sterilization room and lab for daily functions.
Maintains equipment, instruments, handpieces, burs and armentarium by proper care, cleaning, and sterilization according to OSHA standards and manufacturer's instructions.
Prepares all instrument packs, handpieces, burs, etc. and distributes to operatories. Consults patient schedule to ensure proper availability of instruments in operatories.
Operate and maintain sterilizers, keeping records of loads completed, items in loads, and maintenance procedures performed.
Monitors biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.
Assist with cleaning of rooms between cases and terminal cleaning
Maintains laundry daily to include towels, smocks, uniforms, etc.
Contributes to VDSC efficiency.
Communicates effectively with clinical staff and across departments as needed.
Consults patient schedule to ensure proper availability of instruments in operating rooms.
Ensure necessary equipment is available by continually maintaining surgical inventory.
Contributes to the fluctuating staffing needs of the department by being flexible in own assignments and work schedules.
Assists in preparing operatories when requested.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with OSHA infection control policies for the protection of patients, self and co-workers.

Here is a brief description of the job:
The Technician will professionally diagnose, restore, and repair beverageequipment throughout the day.Responsible for properly installing, repairing and maintaining field beverage equipment. Must represent the company and its customers in a professional manner. Maintain an acceptable level of productivity related to the amount of completed calls.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform installations, repairs and maintenance on commercial beverage and related equipment at our customers location.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, troubleshooting and repair of beverage equipment.
Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
Demonstrate proper knowledge of equipment. Communicate with the supervisor when extra training may be needed.
Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
Comply with regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times while treating customers, driving company vehicles, etc. Treat others how you would like to be treated
Fill out field service reports properly, legible and with as much information as possible. When eligible.
Maintain frequent communication with the dispatcher to assure that the right information is relayed and entered into our system.
Maintain company vehicles in good working condition, both mechanically and organized.
Arrange for company vehicles to get routine maintenance and any required service. Make sure proper documentation is kept up-to-date and kept in company vehicles at all times.All repairs and service on vehicles covered by the company through our fleet management company.
Fulfill all new and existing training requirements as set by service managers and/or technician development directors.
Must be able to cover emergency calls on weekends on a rotating basis as laid out by the manager to satisfy the market needs.
