Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare course plans and materials:
Delivering course lectures.
Facilitating student engagement.

Deliver courses:

Supervisor, SterileProcessing
Provides oversight and local operations supervision of the SterileProcessing Department (SPD) supporting Surgical Services, various nursing units, and off-site clinics. Ensures coordinated and timely delivery of reprocessed items to clinical stakeholders within the health care organization. Ensures local facility sterilization and High Level Disinfection (HLD) functions comply with all regulatory requirements. Supervises SPD personnel and serves as liaison between SPD and other departments. Maintains effective interdepartmental relationships, coordinates and resolves problems, and ensures cooperation with other programs and services. In conjunction with Assistant Surgical Services Director, manages the overall SPD budget including determining resource needs, allocation resources and ensuring proper utilization in productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness of SPD operations. You will be responsible for the proper decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, supplies and equipment to the OR and other areas of the hospital. * Perform clerical duties if needed in the absence of the scheduler.
* Transport specimens according to policy using universal precautions.
* Make pre-op calls to patients to obtain preliminary information.

* High School diploma or GED.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
* One year of experience in a hospital setting.
