The Semmes Murphey Clinic Surgery Center is hiring. We are looking for a sterile processing tech to work in our operating rooms during a variety of surgical procedures. You are a great fit for this role if you like being part of a team that is working hard to deliver excellent patient outcomes. You will work alongside our certified scrub techs and operating room staff to ensure supplies and equipment for the scheduled procedures are sterilized, assembled, and available. The Surgery Center is open Monday-Friday. There are no weekends, nights, and no call schedule. Approximate hours are 6:30am-3:30pm. Key Responsibilities: Assemble supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians' preference cards, adhering to aseptic technique when opening sterile packages and preparing for the procedure. Work hours: Full-time, hourly position. In order to maintain full-time status, a minimum of 30 hours per week on average are required, though up to 40 hours a week will be expected for this position. Dental Clinic hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. This position may be scheduled to work any of the days the clinic is open (Monday through Friday) and may be scheduled to arrive 15 minutes prior to opening and may be scheduled to leave one hour after closing, depending on patients scheduled.
