POSITION SUMMARY
A nation-wide storage and logistics company is looking for multiple Art Handlers to join their team and support day-to-day transportation and offsite activities out of the company's Washington, DC warehouse. The ideal candidates will have 3-5 years' experience working with storage, as well as collection management knowledge, and will be comfortable moving and handling a wide range of art objects. Responsibilities include installation and de-installation of artworks, along with proper packing of artworks for transport or storage, and the careful preparation and execution of job related paperwork. The firm is looking for dedicated team players with excellent communication skills and an attention for detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Proper handling of art objects, using the appropriate methods and materials for packaging, loading & securing for safe transport
Install/de-install artworks in-house or at offsite locations, often troubleshooting and utilizing critical thinking to solution scope changes
Preparation and careful execution of paperwork, including bills of lading, labels, driver logs, and detailed condition reports with accompanying photos if necessary
Receive and release shipments into warehouse facilities
Pack artworks for local, national, international transportation and storage
Maintain compliance with all local, state, DOT regulations
Support to internal teams as needed
Weekend, overtime, and holiday work may be necessary; therefore, schedule flexibility is required
Other projects as assigned by Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Team Player, able to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented and dynamic environment
Demonstrated knowledge of installation, packing and art handling
Excellent communication and attention to detail to both clients and coworkers
Ability to problem solve and solution onsite issues with the experience to know when to escalate problems to supervisor
Valid driver's license; CDL license a bonus
Ability to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aid
Ability to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feet
Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overhead
Ability to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow

This service representative will help organize and maintain package reception rooms/locker systems at apartment complexes located in the Washington D.C. area. The service rep will visit properties multiple times a week and perform various duties.
What You'll Do:
Provide in-person support to residents having package questions/issues
Log recently-delivered packages into the property's automated package management system
Deliver packages to resident doors
Organize packages within the room, to make it easier for residents to find their packages
Identify aging/stale packages and prepare them to be returned to sender
Serve as a primary liaison between the property and the package management provider support team
Deliver certain packages directly to residents' doors
Perform lightweight maintenance on the locker/package room management system

RequirementsWho You Are:

The Details:

Summary:

The Art Handler II works during the 3 - 5 week installation and de-installation period between the AU Museum's various exhibition cycles, and assists the Museum Preparator with specialized roles, tasks and additional intermittent projects. Art Hander II works under the supervision of the AU Museum's Preparator and works closely with, and provides support and assistance, to the Registrar.
Essential Functions:
* Oversee Art Handler 1 preparation and organization of tools and equipment required for installation and de-installation, and provide additional support in woodshop.
* Perform regular maintenance and upkeep of museum tools and hardware, as well as the upkeep and cleaning of museum objects, pedestals and vitrines, and storage and collections spaces.
* Assist Registrar with coordinating incoming and outgoing art and equipment shipments.
* Prepare gallery spaces for exhibition, including: wall repair and painting.
* Facilitate the construction and preparation of art installations, exhibition furniture, crates and packaging, from design to product.
* Handle, move, place and prepare art objects.
* Coordinate with the Museum Preparator the installation and layout requests of artists and curators who are on-site for installation/de-installation.
* Work with Museum Preparator to ensure the proper installation of A/V equipment, including speakers, monitors, and projectors.
* Assist with lighting and lighting design of gallery spaces.

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
You will be part of the team responsible for moving items through and out of the warehouse in a safe and clean manner.

Located minutes away from the Washington Dulles International Airport, and approximately 30 miles from the U.S. Capitol, this site serves as our major parts distribution hub in the Americas. The facility is a 24/7 fulfillment center, with an Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support desk, and Quality Assurance (QA) operations. Your challenges:
The warehouse operation is 24 x 7, 365 days a year and will require shift work.
Receive and inspect parts into the Satair Group IT Systems and put stock away in correct location.
Pick and process orders in the correct priority sequence according to established performances targets; packing parts for safe shipment according to shipping instructions and applicable standard specifications (ATA300).

Part-Time The Materials Handler supports daily retail operations across all locations. This role ensures accurate inventory management, efficient material handling, and timely movement of goods to support production, fulfillment, and overall business operations. The associate maintains a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Compensation:
$18.00/hour
Expected Hours:
Four 6-hour work days between the hours of 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., around 24-28 hours/week
Essential Duties:
Inventory Management
Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
Identify any missing, lost, or damaged products and immediately notify the supervisor.
Stock, organize, and replenish inventory in both warehouse and stockroom locations.
Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventories.
Maintain accurate records in inventory systems and update stock levels as required.
Material Handling & Equipment Operation
Safely operate certified material-handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks (“paddle jacks”), and other approved equipment.
Move products between warehouse and stockroom locations as needed to support business demands.
Load and unload trucks, deliveries, and outbound shipments.
Workflow Support
Pick and prepare materials for internal departments or customer orders.
Assist with staging, sorting, packing, and organizing materials to support daily operations.
Coordinate with warehouse and stockroom leads/supervisors/managers to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, ABC policies and company guidelines when operating equipment or handling inventory.
Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work areas in all locations.
Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
Cross-Location Coordination
Travel between warehouse and stockroom and other estate locations/facilities as scheduled to provide operational support.
Communicate effectively with both teams to ensure inventory accuracy and workflow alignment.
Support special projects, transfers, and stock consolidations between locations.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a warehouse or e-commerce fulfillment setting. The environment can be fast-paced, with exposure to moving equipment, shelving, and frequent handling of merchandise. Noise levels are moderate, and temperatures may vary depending on the season and building conditions. Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions such as picking, packing, loading, unloading and scanning. Responsibilities:
Pulling Orders
Accurately locate and load, both by hand and using appropriate motorized equipment (i.e., forklift truck), customer product onto/from pallets, trays, racks and shelves according to established procedures and safety regulations. Is able to operate special equipment as necessary, such as a turret clamp and slip sheet equipment and RF unit (if applicable).
Count, weigh and record number of units of materials handled on daily production sheet.
Complete specialized order processing for loading by stenciling, slip-sheeting, shrink wrapping, labeling and consolidating as required on order.
Operating & Maintenance - Equipment and Grounds
Assign / verify trailers to appropriate dock and/or yard location, trailers locked to dock-lock and/ or chocking the wheels (if applicable), following all safety rules and Company policy.
Daily inspect and repair or make adjustments before operating tow-motor vehicles, following safety and maintenance instructions, completing the tow-motor inspection sheet at the beginning of each shift and/or assigned to another piece of equipment; report immediately any defective equipment to supervisor.
Prepare trailers prior to loading product by inspecting and cleaning as needed to ensure product preservation.
Assists in building and grounds maintenance to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, neat safe and orderly manner.
Loading & Unloading
Load picked orders or (pull & load) according to policies and procedures, completing appropriate paperwork including Bill of Lading, Pick Report, Trailer Audit and Lot Verification.
Unload, move, stack and stage customer products and materials both by hand and using forklift or other power equipment, keeping appropriate records and reports.
Reports
Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned by supervisor.
Assist in physical inventories ensuring facility and contents are secure.
