The Filler Operator is an important part of our production floor. Job Purpose:
The Driver role is responsible for moving parts, goods, and finished valves internal and/or external customers so that can arrive safely and accurately at the destination to support the achievement of the site's business goals and objectives. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plans and completes and efficient delivery and pickup route for the day.
Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as required.
Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule: reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to the supervisor.
Examines materials for defects and sorts them accordingly if defect is found. Attaches identification data onto materials.
In Receiving and Warehouse Locations: Unloads, unpacks, and verifies incoming materials to packing list, do visual inspection to identify transportation damage, and performs necessary systems transactions.
In Shipping Locations: Compares identifying information, counts, weighs, or measures incoming and outgoing materials to verify information against packing lists, bills of lading, commercial invoices, MTRs, or other records.
Prepares materials by stacking or packing them in boxes, crates, or on skids suitable to convey safely and securely to internal and/or external customers.
Follows all Quality Assurance procedures and work instructions.
Assist in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
Keeps the work area neat, clean, and organized.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
Ability to drive safely
Ability to plan delivery routes.
Ability to maintain basic logs and records
Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervisions.
Able to always remain professional and courteous.
