Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler/Warehouse Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This role involves handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting manufacturing areas, and ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling & Warehouse Operations
Review customer orders and manage the stocking, examination, and distribution of materials in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
Move materials between loading docks, trucks, storage areas, and production lines.
Identify, label, and record material locations to maintain accurate inventory.
Complete material transactions in SAP, generate non-conformance reports in IQMS, and close tasks in MFG-based Cell Fusion applications.
Perform and report cycle counts.
Oversee crating operations and audit outbound materials.
Operate forklifts, trucks, cranes, and other material-moving equipment as required.
Coordinate nonstandard crating, rigging, or trucking needs through appropriate channels.
Prepare finished products for shipment by locating, picking, packing, and loading materials.
Safety & Compliance
Complete all required safety training.
Follow safe work practices, including lifting limits (max 35 lbs), using ergonomic supports, and taking necessary stretch breaks.
Adhere to all personal and product safety guidelines, including PPE usage, clean-room procedures, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO & ZEST).
Use fixtures such as hoists, cranes, and lifting tools to support safe assembly and movement of materials.
Perform Risk Management by Walking Around (RMBWA), documenting and escalating hazards as required.
Respond promptly to unsafe practices and escalate concerns to safety representatives or management as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience operating material-handling equipment (MHE).
Forklift training or certification preferred.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage complexity, meet deadlines, and support process improvements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
Strong inventory control and data entry skills.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and follow all safety practices.

SUMMARY
Assists the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Warehouse Manager with developing the daily outbound workload and resource plan, distributing work assignments to warehouse employees, and working with the Warehouse Manager performing assignments/duties if the workload requires. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates Warehouse Associates and warehouse activities.

Assists the Warehouse Manager to examine current methods and procedures, identifying best methods and practices, suggesting improvements, and implementing updated processes and procedures within the various warehouse areas.
Works with Warehouse Supervisor ensuring that all warehouse functions and daily operational objectives are achieved in line with identified timelines and statistical goals.
Assists Warehouse Manager in executing the daily workload plan.

Purpose of Position
Our package handlers are our front-line employees and a very important part of GLS. They work diligently to sort and make sure packages are in the correct route, to ensure proper delivery timelines. They work closely as a team to make sure all the behind the scenes work is done safely and successfully, no day is the same. Position Title: Material Handler 2
Pay Rate: $19.97/hr
Category/Shift: Hourly, Full-Time (Day Shift (6am - 2:30pm), Monday - Friday)
Physical Location: 5505 SW Western Avenue, Beaverton, OR 97005
The Job You Will Perform:
Handle and maintain the flow of materials throughout the plant
Complete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)
Complete and submit load sheet to accurately record bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments
Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag out procedure
Assist with sorting, deboxing and moving pallets/materials on the plant floor
Assist with removing finished bales and storing in proper location
Load and unload trailers
Complete PMs for all certified mobile equipment regularly
Attend and participate in plant safety meetings
Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool and consumable usage
Report any safety or maintenance concerns
Adhere to plant policies and guidelines
Other duties may be assigned

Position Summary:
The Material Handler is responsible for processing and moving finished products and materials throughout the organization.
FLSA: Non-exempt
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform transactions in the inventory system moving product around within the warehouse.
Load and unload materials in warehouses and storage facilities. Materials may be moved from racks, skids, or carts.
Maintain organization and inventory of product within department.
Understand and implement required procedures (ISO standard documents).
Oversee and maintain a clean work area as well as any other area which may be assigned to Finished Goods according to our 5S standards.
Report any and all safety concerns to the Supervisor or Manager.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Assist in day-to-day department operations as requested.
Education and/or Experience:
Previous Oracle experience a plus
Proficient in MS Office applications (ie. Outlook, Excel, Word)
Knowledge of material moving equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies. Knowledge of forklifts and reach trucks a plus. Interest in getting certified for forklift operation highly desired.
Must have good communications skills (Simple math, Write legibly)
Must be able to work individually and as a team in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to follow established procedures, and work under the direction of the supervisor
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, and stand for long periods of time
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed
Working Conditions:
Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
Work is primarily standing (90 + % of the shift) except for lunch and break periods.
Shifts are 8 hours, 10 hours, and 12 hours.
The duties of this job normally require exposure to a typical manufacturing environment. Frequent standing, sitting, stooping/squatting, walking, and stair climbing can be expected along with frequent lifting and/or moving of tooling, parts containers, and materials up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to reach with hands and arms, bend and kneel frequently at a minimum of 50% of the shift, as well as undergo repetitive wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and ankle motions.
Must demonstrate proficient fine motor skills, ability to grip, reach, pull, turn, and use tools to torque fixtures in various machinery or in the assembly, machining, or testing of parts.
Specific vision abilities required may include close vision, distance vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to focus on fine print.
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. security mandates.
