This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, overseeing clinical care for residents with complex behavioral and psychiatric needs, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments, maintaining individualized nursing care plans, overseeing medication management, coordinating medical and psychiatric appointments, supervising LVNs and unlicensed staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and participating in interdisciplinary team meetings. The RN will play a vital role in supporting residents' health and well-being across multiple facilities, while ensuring adherence to all safety and documentation standards.
Required Skills:
Active California RN license (unencumbered)
Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel between multiple facilities during the workday
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently across multiple sites
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with psychiatric diagnoses and psychotropic medications
Familiarity with IDD/dual diagnosis and residential/group home settings
Prior supervision of LVNs and unlicensed staff
Experience in crisis intervention and behavioral health protocols
Preferred Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent preferred
At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in behavioral health or residential care settings
Other Requirements:
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (flexible hours available)
Travel between 3-4 facilities during the shift
Certification in CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
