You will serve as the primary contact for the Access Center for staff, faculty, and students seeking information and services. Responsibilities

Participate in support of events; coordinate arrangements with events and operations departments, contractors and clients; monitor and/or direct the work of contractors on building projects.
Participate in project and maintenance planning for facility infrastructure and operations; identify and resolve problems; monitor work flow; review and evaluate work projects, methods and procedures.
Monitor and communicate expenditures for equipment, materials, and supplies; oversee supplies and materials for maintenance programs within budget guidelines; receive and maintain supplies.
Except for trivial purchases, obtain Chief Engineers approval before ordering supplies.
Ensure compliance with hazardous materials communication program, material safety data sheets and required records and permits; maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulations.

Participate in emergency response including fire alarms and power outages; wear proper PPE where appropriate.

Qualifications
Minimum four (4) years experience in building maintenance; experience in plumbing, electrical, building repair and carpentry work preferred.

High school diploma or equivalent required; must possess a valid Washington State drivers license and a good driving record.
Must be certified to operate a forklift; specialized training/experience in the repair and maintenance of building HVAC and related systems preferred.
