Purpose

As a family-owned company, it's the people who continue to make STIHL a successful, world-class brand. STIHL is seeking a highly motivated, goal-driven Technical Training Coordinator - Sales to join our STIHL Team!

We are seeking an individual to participate in the delivery and management of comprehensive technical service training programs and assist with the development, production and distribution of technical service training materials. To identify, develop and deliver service training programs, training aids and service training information for use by branches, dealers, and end-users.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assists in developing and implementing comprehensive service training programs that will be used by STIHL Inc branches, distributors, dealers and end-users.
Coordinates service training programs as directed by the Technical Training Supervisor or Business & Training Development Manager.
Coordinates, organizes and instructs service certification training seminars for STIHL dealers.
Provides assistance and information to develop necessary curriculum and training aids needed for the service certification program.
Coordinates, instructs and participates in service training programs for branches, distributors, dealers, end-users and STIHL employees.
Assists in development and production of service training aids for use by branches and distributors.
Coordinates with the Sales Training Supervisor to develop necessary product service training presentations, training videos and web based training such as used on the STIHL iCademy.
Makes necessary field trips to assist branches and distributors with service training seminars and to gather information for update and development of service training information and programs.
Maintains an up-to-date technical library to provide a resource for technical education programs.
Assists with product demonstrations and new product introductions as directed by supervisor.
Participates and assists in meetings and trade shows as requested.
Participates and assists in representing STIHL in associations and groups related to the power equipment industry.
Communicates regularly with the Product Managers, and other marketing and technical staff to gather information regarding new products, product updates and product applications.
All work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of appropriate education, training, skills, and experience.
Assumes additional related responsibilities as assigned.

Specifications
Bachelor's degree in Vocational/Technical Education preferred.

The mission of the Montana State University Police Department is to provide Montana State University students, faculty, staff, and visitors a safe and secure environment for living, and learning. Duties and Responsibilities
Training Manager:
Identify and assess future and current needs and opportunities for training.
Monitor and evaluate Training Plan effectiveness and success.
Manage training budget.
Maintain training records and files for both police and civilian staff in accordance with department policy and POST standards.
Manage training requests from department members and routes accordingly for approval.
Revise training plan and programs in view of new legislation, changes in policy, and/or standard operating procedures.
Prepare training announcements to inform employees of projected training and development courses.
Make arrangements for travel, facilities, equipment, and needed materials and arranges for instructors when applicable.
Verify that POST records are accurate and communicate with POST to make changes as needed.
Prepare all travel arrangement and manage university travel paperwork for trainings and personnel trips.
Perform other duties as required by management.
Collect post-training reviews in order to assess the effectiveness of trainings and future needs.

Evidence Technician:

Maintain custody of evidence to ensure secure storage and timely retrieval as required, including documenting the security, transfer, and chain of custody for items transported to the lab, enforcing limited access into the evidence vault, and documenting transfer of evidence to the courts.
Work closely with the state crime lab to ensure proper handling, packaging, reports, chain of custody, and transfer of evidence.
Enforce all policies regarding proper authorization for release to ensure the release of information to proper recipients as required.
Ensure the proper disposal of drugs, paraphernalia, and bio-hazardous evidence as required.
Arrange auctions or other approved disposal methods for items no longer of evidentiary value.
Attend meetings, conferences, workshops and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on the principles, practices and new developments in assigned work areas.

Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Experience in Law Enforcement or related field; or equivalent experience and education
Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing heavy workloads and meeting tight deadlines with many interruptions while maintaining a positive, effective and professional approach.
Demonstrated effective communication and excellent customer service skills for a diverse group of internal and external constituents.
Demonstrated experience interpreting, explaining, and applying policies and procedures.
