    PURPOSE The BIM/VDC Operations Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships that support the Baker Group Just Cause and Core Values across team members, clients, and partners. This role focuses on executing BIM projects leading and developing staff, optimizing workflows, and strengthening both internal and external relationships. Partner with project managers and lead detailers to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient project completion. Research and evaluate new technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the industry. Educate project managers on BIM processes and their value to clients and field operations. Oversee the transition of models from Engineering to the BIM/VDC department. Foster effective communication with project managers, engineers, and team members. Benchmark detailer performance and hold team members accountable for project goals. Support early project phases through coordination meetings and stakeholder engagement. Contribute to business unit meetings, pursuits, and resource forecasting. Recruit, develop, and maintain BIM talent to strengthen both shop and field operations. Identify, onboard and manage external BIM resources as needed. MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS High school diploma or GED Five (5) years of progressive experience in BIM/VDC operations, detailing or construction project management Prior leadership or supervisory experience a plus Comprehensive knowledge of Engineering, BIM and Construction processes. MENTAL AND PHYSICAL COMPETENCIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Excellent organizational and communication skills Proven problem solving and leadership abilities Strong knowledge of AutoCAD MEP and Revit workflows. Proficiency with Navisworks, Revizto and Stratus software. Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety standards and building codes, such as ANSI/BHMA A156.10.
