    WTKR, The E.W. Scripps Company CBS affiliate in Norfolk, VA, is searching for a Digital Content Producer to join our team. In this role you will organize, write, edit, and update both written and video news content. You will creatively showcase this content while being aligned with the station's and/or Scripps brand. WHAT YOU'LL DO: Turn breaking news, enterprise stories, press releases, third party sources, or news tips into unique articles on the web, including but not limited to headlines, thumbnails, short news alerts and teases, interactive embedded elements, outside links, maps, slideshows and custom modules. Post articles to social media to drive engagement and web clicks. Cut video and assign engaging metadata for YouTube, website, app, OTT and third-party services. Build and monitor livestreams to various platforms. Edit platform-specific social media graphics to showcase storytelling. Assist in online coverage of major news events, breaking news and severe weather to ensure high quality, consistent community coverage online with attention to grammatical detail. Actively collaborate with editorial and technical staff to migrate content to media platforms, including video, audio, vertical video, still photos and graphics. Build out special sections and site features to enhance coverage and increase user engagement. Update and interact with fans/followers on social media. Optimize the user experience by tracking live web metrics and user experience best practices. Apply Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices to every piece of content. Perform other duties as assigned. WTKR is seeking a skilled Master Control Operator to manage and monitor multiple programming sources while providing critical master control support. This role is essential to ensuring our viewers receive uninterrupted, high-quality programming around the clock. Shift: 10L00 PM - 6:00 AM WHAT YOU'LL DO: Monitor several programming sources simultaneously, manage and switch sources for local television station programming, remotely from the Hub Monitor various levels and signals from multiple television sites Manage several live program logs and ensures accuracy Ensure the correct spots air during programming and note any discrepancies Solve problems and make judgment calls with business implications in mind regarding programming changes, commercials, special reports, and technical difficulties; this includes evaluating clock/timing to consider options with regard to programming as well as deciding when to escalate issues Make decisions and consult with internal customers regarding local transmitter parameters and operation Routinely collaborate with media prep technicians and traffic personnel to manage daily operation. Collaborate with other local news personnel as needed during breaking news situations Interact both verbally and in writing with internal Hub client stations in a manner that ensures all of our internal customers have a consistent experience.
