Job Description:

Education:

Technical Skills:
Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient and fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. Candidate must be comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation and cardiac arrhythmias. Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing is preferred.
License/Certification:
Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).
Other:
Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.

How you will contribute

You will evaluate donor reaction(s), which occurs at the facility as outlined in the SOPs. Follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Center Physician's standing orders and donor transport to emergency care facilities.
You will refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs (as applicable) when in need of providing unacceptable findings to donors, or guidance concerning medical or technical issues, including donor safety and eligibility.
You will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
You will manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Refer to EHS guidance regarding employee incidents.
You can be a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community as indicated by EHS or Medical Affairs.

BioMatrix Specialty Infusion Pharmacy is seeking a Contract 1099 Infusion Nurse to see patients in their homes or infusion suites. It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work in one of the metropolitan-area locations noted in the posting. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
Job Description:
A Registered Nurse for Home Infusion inserts, monitors and removes an IV used to give medications, blood products and nutrition to a patient. During the IV therapy, the nurse monitors the patient for adverse reactions and ensures that the tubing, bandages and needle stay in place. When a patient needs blood levels checked, an IV nurse performs a veinous phlebotomy. During the entire IV therapy process, the nurse obtains sets of vital signs, completes the physical assessment and review of systems, documents all patient-related activities and records the medications they use.
Provides and coordinates all aspects of staffing services to the patient with the assistance of the Company Directors, Nursing Coordinator and the Director of Nursing. Communicates with the patients to determine problems and/or solutions regarding their treatment. The Per Diem RN also conveys collected documentation from patient to all necessary internal and third-party external staff regarding scheduling and other pertinent patient information.
Performs a variety of duties both clinical and nursing notes documentation. This position requires skill in planning, organizing, scheduling and coordinating the delivery of patient care by all staff personnel including but not limited to complete documentation of nursing care and submission of nursing notes.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

IV certification & experience in central line care and management required

Travel Nurse Clinical Instructor
Position Summary:
The Travel Nurse Clinical Instructor (internally referred to as Assistant Professor, Nursing Education) facilitates on-ground education instruction by incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in the discipline by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to advanced practice nursing education and healthcare delivery within and outside the College. The incumbent will be accountable for delivering the nursing curriculum in accordance with the Program's mission, vision, values, and purposes. The Assistant Professor will engage with learners in all aspects of the nursing education process, including evaluating the potential for achievement in the program, and is accountable for Nursing Education Services' successful attainment of key performance indicators, program and functional outcomes, and the success of the College's mission. The Assistant Professor functions as a valued team member within the nursing faculty.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Facilitates learning in the various supervised on-ground focused education (SOFE) sites, including clinical, simulation, or skills labs across the United States.
* Responsible for teaching and evaluating learners in the Practical Nursing, Baccalaureate, and Master's Degree Nursing Programs.
* Monitors, engages, and maintains open communication with learners in all aspects of the nursing education process, including attendance, performance, comprehension, and evaluation in accordance with course outcomes, and submits required reports according to published deadlines.
* Adheres to and holds learners accountable for partner facilities' expectations.
* Attends nursing faculty meetings, participates in committees, engages in shared decision-making, and other faculty activities as required.
* May be assigned to various modalities, including experiential, didactic, evaluations, and NCLEX coaching based on the needs of the College.
* May carry additional teaching load outside of primary assignment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:
* Earned Graduate degree with a major in nursing from an accredited institution supplemented by 0-1 year of relevant experience.
* Active, unencumbered RN or APRN license from state of residence and ability to obtain RN and NP licensure in any jurisdiction required by the College, including a valid multi-state license.
* Either has an earned Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) credential or commits to obtaining this certification within a one-year period.
* Maintains current knowledge in multiple areas of nursing practice.
* Two (2) years of experience in clinical nursing, within the past five (5) years.
* Two (2) years of experience supervising clinical education activities preferred.
* Maintains immunizations and certification records as required by accreditation, facility, or state board of nursing.
* Additional Contributions: Annual Professional Development, Service as SME, Service on Committees, and learner load will be congruent with current faculty matrix for the assigned course(s).
* One (1) year of experience in delivery of Concept-Based Nursing Education is preferred.
* One (1) year of distance education experience preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Nurse Corps Officers may serve at any one of more than 250 Navy and medical facilities around the globe, from Hawaii to Japan, Germany to Guam and Washington, D.C., to Washington state. Current License by the Nevada State Board of Nursing to Practice as a Registered Nurse, and meets the requirements as specified in the Nursing Administration Policies.

* A minimum of one (1) year of recent, documented Burn and/or Wound Care RN experience.
Knowledge of:
Nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation and coordination of patient care); anatomy and physiology; standards of care; disease process; medical equipment; patient care plan development; patient evaluation and assessment techniques; body mechanics used with ambulating, transferring and repositioning patients; how to use general office equipment including, but not limited to: facsimiles, copiers, telephones and computers; pharmacology and medication administration; Nurse Practice Act; department and hospital safety practice and procedures; patient rights; age specific patient care practices; infection control policies and practices; handling, storage, use and disposal of hazardous materials; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.
Skill in:
Implementing nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation; working with high risk or critically ill patients; performing invasive nursing procedures associated with area of specialty; developing and implementing education programs associated with specialty; organizing, prioritizing and delegating work; using computers and related software applications; communicating with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Mobility to work in a typical clinical setting and use standard equipment, including stamina to remain standing and/or walk for extended periods of time, and strength to examine and treat varied patients, vision to read printed materials and a VDT screen, and hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
