Utilize ELD applications and devices to document Hours of Service logs and other required functions. * Adhere to all Company, local, state, and federal rules/regulations inclusive of, but not limited to, DOT, FMCSA, IFTA, OSHA, etc. * Call Supervisor immediately upon the occurrence of any of the following: * Accident or damage to person(s) or property. * Problem with a school delivery or pick-up. * Mechanical failure of equipment. * Overnight routes as necessary. * Must maintain professional appearance including well-groomed hair, clean uniform, and hygienic habits; Company uniforms will be provided to all drivers. * Attend monthly driver meetings - completing all continuous training materials as required. * Utilize proper techniques for lifting, packing, and handling heavy objects, climbing ladders and pushing/pulling display cases. * Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment. * Maintain truck per company standards. * Regular attendance in accordance with schedule. * Drug and alcohol-free policy compliance. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications What we need: * Verifiable commercial driving experience in a Class A CDL/Class 8 combined tractor-trailer vehicle of at least 40,000 miles and 1 year of commercial operation within the last 5 years. * Minimum of twenty-one (21) years of age. * Possess a valid CDL A license with air brake endorsement. * CDL A and safe driving record must be validated through MVR review/background check and PSP record. * Previous lead role or supervisory experience is preferred. * Must pass a drug screen/alcohol screen, Motor Vehicle Record review, criminal background review, and a DOT physical examination indicating physical essential functions of job can be performed as required. * Must be able to drive vehicle weighing in excess of 34,0001 GVW and trailers in excess of 10,000 lbs. with a total combined GVW up to 80,000 lbs. * Ability to push/lift/carry up to 70lbs and move aluminum rolling bookcases (up to 70 lbs. of pushing force is required on a regular basis). Cases may have several boxes of books placed on top, which require the ability to reach, remove and lift boxes weighing up to 25 lbs. from the top of bookcases.
