Responsibilities
Phlebotomist - Vascular Access Tech obtains quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods (capillary, venous, assisted line and arterial collections) and standard safety equipment from all age groups with strict adherence to regulatory requirements and collection procedures. Works at the Mayo Clinic Hospital alternating between the two hospital campuses (Rochester Methodist Campus - RMC and St. Mary's Campus - SMC) in the general patient care areas, pediatrics, the Emergency Department, the Intensive Care Units and the Operating Rooms. Responsible for accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, handling and transportation as well as accurate specimen testing using Point of Care (POC) equipment. Able to work with a variety of computer programs/systems. Must maintain patient confidentiality. Utilizes good customer relations and communication skills in performing phlebotomy, answering the phone and interacting with patients, nurses, providers and others health care professionals to ensure high customer satisfaction. Demonstrates a positive and professional demeanor. Ability to work independently as well as in a team. Must possess skills in working in a fast pace environment, coping, understanding, following written and verbal instruction, organization, prioritization, attention to detail, problem solving, critical thinking and decision making. Must be able to push a cart and walk distances. Assists with training students and new employees. Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required. A graduate of a phlebotomy training program that provides a clinical rotation OR 3 months of phlebotomy work experience is required. Individuals hired to this position are required to complete 2 years in this role before being eligible to transfer to other positions within Mayo Clinic. National Phlebotomy certification (e.g. NHA, ASCP) must be obtained within 14 months of hire date.

Job Summary
Responsible for performing ultrasounds in a professional and diagnostic manner. Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify and record appropriate anatomical, pathological, and diagnostic images. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Imaging, Allied Health Certificate/Diploma or a minimum of one year
equivalent work experience is preferred.
Registration in at least one of the following areas of sonography is required: Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or registry eligible.
Registry preferred within two years after hiring.
If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

• Enters post procedure information and changes into the Radiology Information System (RIS) to assure an accurate bill and radiology history for each patient.

• Demonstrates knowledge of test standards to adequately perform quality control tests on assigned equipment. Records and reports results to appropriate personnel.

• Recognizing emergency situations and demonstrating competency in managing the situation. Calls reports to the ordering physician, nursing units and Emergency Department as requested.
• Maintains professional acumen through active association with professional organizations; attends in-service educational programs and department meetings. Meets CME requirements as set forth by the ARDMS or RDCS or RVT to remain in active status.
• Assists in the clinical instruction of allied health students, medical students and physicians, and evaluates new equipment and products for possible future use. And Assist team with phones, transferring patients, scheduling, reporting or other necessary duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work experience and knowledge of standards and procedures as they relate to ultrasound normally acquired
through graduation from a program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in
