About the Role
The Vice President, Payments and Marketplace Ecosystem Partnerships, will be a high-impact strategic leader for defining, building, and executing a multi-year partnership and ecosystem strategy across a broad financial services landscape. This role owns the full partnership lifecycle, from strategic identification and commercial negotiation to delivery oversight and post-launch growth. This role will manage a team that works with global players in payments, e-commerce, and financial services to create innovative, differentiated products and solutions that shape the future of consumer payments and commerce.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Strategy & Ecosystem Development: Define and own the ecosystem and product partnership strategy in collaboration with the Executive Team and Chief Product Officer. Identify, evaluate, and lead new strategic initiatives to expand DailyPay's product advantage .Identify gaps and innovation opportunities in the Fintech sector and work closely with product teams to drive new capabilities and enhancements tailored to consumer needs.
Partnerships & Commercial Execution: Lead all sourcing, negotiation, and structuring of complex, high-value agreements and long-term relationships with financial institutions, fintechs, payment processors, digital marketplace partners, and other strategic partners. Drive commercial success, Go-To-Market execution, and revenue growth by establishing distribution, referral, and co-sell motions. Manage relationships with partner executives, ensuring accountability for measurable outcomes including adoption, distribution, and revenue growth.
Product & Integration Leadership: Shape joint product strategies with partners to unlock new capabilities and differentiated offerings, ensuring solutions address industry pain points. Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering leadership to secure integrations, influence product roadmaps, and oversee the predictable delivery and prioritization of all ecosystem integrations that strengthen the core product and create differentiated offerings.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Operations: Serve as a strategic leader for cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Compliance, Sales, Marketing) to align partner needs with internal priorities. Create the systems, playbooks, and internal operating rhythm for tracking, reporting, and scaling partnerships to provide executive visibility and drive continuous operational improvements.
Thought Leadership: Represent the company across the ecosystem, including at industry events and with senior leadership teams. Stay ahead of regulatory and compliance trends (e.g., Open Finance) to advise both internal and external stakeholders.
What You Bring to DailyPay
Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or a related leadership role, including 5+ years dedicated to direct people management of high-performing business development, sales, or account management teams. Significant exposure to ecosystem development and strategic product collaborations within financial services or fintech marketplaces to deliver exceptional value for both partners and consumers.
Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of the banking, payments, credit/lending, and digital acquisition marketplaces. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and how it impacts fintech-bank relationships and the broader digital asset landscape. Familiarity with card interchange mechanics and payments value chain, as well as fundamentals of digital acquisition through marketplaces.
Deal Making: Proven track record owning and closing complex, multi-party deals and driving them through product and engineering execution. Experience structuring commercial frameworks, incentives, and long-term strategic agreements. Able to engage with founders, C-suite partners, and internal leadership with clarity and authority.
Leadership: Demonstrated excellence in cross-functional collaboration, executive presence, and communication with C-suite partners and internal leadership. Experience leading, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams.
