Qualifications
KILLS KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to prioritize, work well under periodic stress and pressures. Ability to hear and speak clearly over the telephone for 6 to 8 hours a day. Ability to use office equipment such as computers, telephone, or copier. Ability to be emotionally stable to accommodate frustrated or angry clients on the telephone and in person in a calm manner.

POSITION PURPOSE: The Plant Operations and Environment of Care Director ensures the maintenance of a safe, clean, healthy, and physical environment for patients, staff and guests in the standard consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Laurel Ridge Treatment Center. JOB SUMMARY: This position directs and coordinates activities of this Director's staff that will engage in repairs, maintenance and installation of plant equipment. This position assures the maintenance of building security, safety, grounds, and utilities are up to standard 24/7/365. This is accomplished through utilization of Shared Services Staff, cost effective labor, equipment and supplies. The Director's role is one of fire marshal, plant safety manager, chief security officer and chairman of the Safety Committee. 1. Programs and facilitates therapeutic activities for all patient population groups.
2. Document provision of services according to regulatory and organizational standards.
3. Assists in PI development.
4. Assist in maintaining recreational supplies and equipment needed for art therapy activities.
5. Provide direction and maintains responsibility for the quality of art therapy services offered on assigned units.
6. Maintains a good working relationship with other departments in the hospital.
7. Ensures hospital policy and procedures are implemented.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Strong verbal, written, and communication skills. Creative programming and ability to modify recreational activities to suit children, adolescents, and adults in a psychiatric setting.
EDUCATION: Master's in Counseling or Master's in Creative Art Therapy
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: LPC and ATR or ATR-BC
EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 1 year of experience working in an acute inpatient behavioral health facility, as well as experience providing art therapy programming to children, adolescents, and adults.
