Job Description

Position Overview
As Vice President, Project Management - Transmission, you will lead the project management for the planning and construction for Invenergy's long-distance AC and DC transmission projects.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience leading major infrastructure or capital projects with complex schedule, budget and commercial structuring considerations, as well as building successful teams.

Responsibilities


Build and lead an internal team to manage projects Build initial project schedules and capital budgets and oversee schedule of projects and budgets through completion Structure the engineering, procurement and construction approach from generation POI to delivery POI (AC transmission, AC switchyard and converter stations, DC line) Manage EPC parties during construction Present to counterparties, investors, lenders and other stakeholders about the project Collaborate with internal engineering, project controls, environmental, procurement, development and legal teams to drive projects from advanced development through construction to commercial operation


Required Qualifications



Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline 15+ years of project management experience with 10+ years leading major infrastructure or capital projects Excellent presentation skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate about the project under pressure to counterparties, investors, lenders and other stakeholders Extensive contracting and project structuring experience, preferably for projects with multiple scopes of work, long schedules and multiple critical interfaces. Proven leadership skills with the ability to build and manage a team of direct reports Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization Able to travel up to 25% of the time


Preferred Qualifications



MBA or other advanced degree Specific experience in long linear infrastructure projects (eg transmission and/or pipeline) Engineering skills to understand the performance needs of projects and for issue resolution

USA Job Function Description: Manages and implements internal or external IT projects or programs with a defined start and end. Leads team members from various job families through a defined project life cycle. Allocates, obtains and manages resources and project management tools to achieve project objectives. Develops detailed project plans and schedules application/infrastructure projects, works closely with business analysts, developers and QA to execute the project.
Manages the project lifecycle from initiation through to program closure.
