We are currently searching for an experienced Survey Manager to support our Mid-Atlantic Region located in Springfield, VA, Charleston, WV, or Pittsburgh, PA.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (Registered in Pennsylvania, Virginia or West Virginia).
This position provides supervision and direction of survey technical staff in conducting land surveys and preparing survey deliverables and documents. Responsible for the success of projects including quality, budget, and schedule for each project.
What you'll be doing:
Help build and support new and existing client relationships
Hire, mentor and train technical staff, including professional land surveyors, survey field crews and technicians
Member of a survey team working within a group to meet schedules, client requests (internally and externally) and production expectations
Coordinating and managing outside survey subcontractors
Implementing QA/QC practices for final survey deliverables
Developing fees and writing and reviewing proposals
Ensure compliance with company safety regulations
Communicate regularly with team members and operation managers to keep project on schedule and meet client expectations
What you need to have:
Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (Registered in Pennsylvania, Virginia or West Virginia)
5+ years of Project Management experience with the ability to grow and lead a Survey department
Desire and ability to obtain licensure in additional states
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Judgment and decision-making skills
Complex problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
Technical skills, including AutoCad and/or MicroSation, Trimble equipment and software, laser scanning and drones a plus
Valid driver's license and safe driving record

What you need to have:

Responsibilities

Coordinate Third Party Code Inspection and Documentation

Qualifications

Ability to develop/communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades
Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred
Experience in Institutional Construction preferred

Min. 3 years of hands-on experience working as a BIM/VDC Professional.
Excellent verbal and written communication/presentation skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and professionally to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
Proficiency in Autodesk products such as Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, and ACC Model Coordination.
Strong Revit Modeling experience.

You should expect to work around 15-25 hours a week. Your manager will work with you on a specific schedule.
