    JOB SUMMARY: At The Children's Home Network, we take a holistic approach to mentoring. We believe that intervention and prevention are imperative to mitigating the negative impact that trauma has on early childhood development. Each mentor will spend approximately 2-4 hours per week with each mentee and participate in activities that promote social and emotional development and build formal and informal supports. We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated mentor to work one-on-one with children with varying abilities. The mentor will support the development of emotional regulation, communication, and social interaction skills through structured activities, modeling, and positive reinforcement. Flexible hours include evenings or weekends. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Key Responsibilities: Each of our Mentors develops safe, stable and nurturing relationships with mentees utilizing trauma informed training. The Human Resources Business Partner - Compliance & Credentialing holds primary responsibility for ensuring CHN's personnel and workforce practices comply with all relevant regulatory standards. This individual exercises primary oversight and responsibility for the processes and internal controls regarding employee screening and credentialing for the organization and ensures all candidates and employees meet the requirements of licensing, accreditation, and contractual conditions for their scope of work and practice.     JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Education Program Coordinator, the Education Assistant will work with our at-risk youth and those with intellectual/developmental disabilities within our Residential Treatment Program to support the goal of improving educational outcomes for students in the foster care system. They will plan and organize all daily activities of the Pulte Promise Learning Center (PPLC). The Education Assistant along with the Education Program Coordinator will assess each youth and create individual learning plans to meet the educational needs of the youth served through the Pulte Promise Learning Center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES: Completes education assessments of youth. Creates individual education plans for youth, including daily/weekly lesson plan goals in line with the standards set by the state of Florida for lesson planning. Establishes a plan and method to deliver after school homework help through the PPLC. Coordinates with the Education Program Coordinator to create a plan for each youth that is in line with what their Hillsborough County Schools classroom teacher is working on. Establishes procedures and expectations to assist students in recovering lost credits. Creates a method to evaluate and report progress. Assists in tracking in-school educational services (i.e.- Extended Learning Programs) and communicates educational progress with youths' teachers via phone, email, and school conferences. Assists with data collection on student progress towards education goals. Works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team including but not limited to mental health therapists, BCBA's, RBT's, LPN, cottage caregivers, case managers, social workers, bio parents, and residential leadership. Creates individual education plans for youth, including daily/weekly lesson plan goals in line with the standards set by the state of Florida for lesson planning.
