Position Summary
The Senior Operations Manager (SOM) directly reports to the Director of Property Operations in the Office of Facilities Management and Decarbonization (OFMD), and indirectly reports to the Deputy Commissioner, OFMD. The SOM is Facilities Operations' second in command for the central and western regions as well as surplus properties, managing staff in their performance of the agency statewide program of building and land management, as specified in client service level agreements. The portfolio encompasses nearly 1.2 million square feet of buildings and over 2,500 acres of land across the Commonwealth. The SOM supervises Facilities Managers and indirectly their staff, overseeing a workforce of 20-25 employees and contractors, driving high personnel performance and operational results.
Duties & Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Director to develop policies to support and oversee the agency's program of statewide managed facilities maintenance over nearly 1.2 million square feet of buildings and over 2,500 acres of land.
Develop policies and procedures to drive and maintain an environment of high personnel performance towards operational results, good customer communication, and collaborative relationships.
Supervise execution of the unit's statewide program of daily operation and managed maintenance for agency‑managed state buildings toward goals.

Supervise 20-25 facilities staff, providing services at approximately 7 active buildings in the west, central and northeast regions, including Facility Managers, Assistant Facility Managers, line operating staff, contractors, and oversight of operations at buildings.
Qualifications

Most of the youth served are between the ages 14 and 18. The Department promotes positive change for the youth committed to our care, and has been on the forefront of de-institutionalization, in part, by providing adolescent-focused rehabilitation to youth in residential treatment.
The Department of Youth Services employs staff in various professions and backgrounds in order to engage young people in strategies that support positive youth development. As a key member of the residential team, direct-care staff must monitor and provide on-site and immediate intervention of DYS youth in our residential facilities.

The Department of Youth Services (DYS) is seeking a dynamic, experienced and licensed Psychologist to fill the role of the Regional Clinical Coordinator- Southeast Region. The selected candidate will develop and oversee the psychological services that Southeast Region DYS programs (both state and provider) provide to the youth in its care, participate as a senior staff member of the DYS Southeast Regional team, and provide interagency consultation and planning.
The Regional Clinical Coordinator receives clinical supervision from the Agency's Director of Clinical Services and clinically supervises the Clinical Directors from the Southeast Regional programs which include pre-trial detention (bail), assessment, secure and staff secure residential treatment programs.
Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
Direct the psychological services provided to youth in the care of DYS in their region, including diagnostic evaluations, counseling services, treatment planning and crisis intervention and planning.
Responsible for ensuring the access and coordination of behavioral health services for youth residing in the community and assigned to the Department's District Offices.
Review the psychological needs of youth detained or committed to the Southeast Region through the process of supervision of the Clinical Directors, reviewing critical incident data, developing treatment plans for high profile youth with serious emotional disorders; and overseeing referrals of youth for specialized services, such as forensic evaluations, sex offender specific treatment etc.
Evaluate the assessment needs of detained youth by consistently examining the intake and screening process for all Southeast Region committed youth to ensure consistency and adherence to DYS policies.
Analyze the counseling services provided to DYS youth in detention, locked secure treatment sites and residential group care programs, to determine their efficacy and consistency of service delivery.
Provide training to DYS clinical and administrative staff on clinical related topics, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), suicide prevention, sex offender and violent offender treatment, and family counseling services.
Develop and maintain interagency collaborations with other state agencies within the Southeast Region to develop resources for treatment of DYS youth.
Assist Community Reentry Staff in the linkage with Mass Health Payers and Network Providers ensuring access to behavioral health services within the Southeast Region.
Provide annual reports to the Regional Director and Director of Clinical Services of their assessment of the clinical quality and service delivery within the Region and make recommendations for program and policy improvement.
Required Qualifications:
Proficient in the theory, principles, and practices of psychotherapy and developmental psychology including therapeutic techniques used in psychotherapy such as analytic, existential, nondirective, behavior modification.
Demonstrated proficiency of the principles, practices, and techniques of counseling, motivation and reinforcement techniques, interviewing techniques.
Ability to identify types and symptoms of mental and/or emotional disorders.
Understanding of psychological research principles, methods, techniques as well as statistical methods, techniques and statistical sampling.
Experience with principles and practices of tests and measurements used in ascertaining intelligence, aptitudes, personality, and related mental and physical traits including WAIS, WISC, Rorschach, and Thematic Apperception Test.
Ability to administer, score, and interpret the results of intelligence, aptitude, and personality tests.
Ability to communicate effectively, interact with people who are under emotional and/or physical stress, make decisions, act quickly, and maintain a calm manner in stressful and/or emergency situations.

The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council is seeking a part-time Disability Policy Specialist. This is a professional position responsible for assisting with legislative and policy research and supporting the Council membership in undertaking policy education and awareness activities and implementing related Council State Plan objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
· Provide a full range of psychological services including conducting assessments, creating positive behavioral support plans, training and supervising staff, providing input into medication and Individual Service Plans (ISPs), and providing individual and group counseling to assigned caseload when appropriate.
· Effective communication skills as well as the ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams are essential.

Required Qualifications:

Rangers assigned to the State House provide an active and visible uniformed presence that ensures public safety, discourages criminal activity, addresses improper use, and protects the State House's cultural resources. Public safety and cultural resource protection are initially maintained by screening visitors for prohibited articles thereby ensuring a safe environment for all within the building. A State House Ranger also offers visitor services to all who enter by providing information and informal interpretation as to the cultural history of the building and by directing visitors to their intended destinations within the building.

About the Role
EOTSS is seeking to hire a Security Engineering Intern to join the EOTSS Security Engineering Team. The EOTSS Security Engineering Team provides reliable Network Services and support to all Commonwealth of Massachusetts customers. The security services provided by the team include network security design, implementation, installation, and management. The Security Engineering Team is especially skilled in and specializes in complex routing configurations, wireless networking, and the use of Visio for creating diagrams in support of the infrastructure for best Security practices. The Security Engineering Intern will learn what it is like to be part of day-to-day operations. The intern will observe and participate in various incidents and change management processes. The intern will work closely with our Network Analysts, Security Engineering, and Network Engineers with asset inventory reconciliation and helping support day to day operations.
The primary work location for this role will be 200 Arlington Street Chelsea, Massachusetts 02150. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8AM to 4PM EST. This position would be expected to follow a hybrid model of reporting to work that combines in-office workdays and work from home days as needed.

The Program Integrity Claims Examiner/Job Service Representative I is responsible for supporting processes within the Department of Family Medical Leave (DFML). The Claims Examiner/Job Service Representative I will review claims escalated by the Contact Center and internal DFML staff in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies; Incumbent will perform related duties as required.

What you'd do:
Claims Examiner/Job Service Representative I, who reports to the Senior Manager of Benefit Operations & Program Integrity is based in Boston, MA, and is responsible for the following:
Facilitate the program integrity of the DFML by ensuring claims filed with the Department of Family and Medical Leave (DFML) are consistent with applicable laws, regulations, and policies (M.G.L. Chapter 175M and 458 CMR 2.00)
Investigate, analyze, and respond to complex claims filed by claimants seeking DFML benefits that have been escalated from the call center and/or internal DFML departments and staff and research inconsistencies or omissions in reports generated by the agency and/or agency partners computer systems.
Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate or remand to the appropriate internal department.
Collect and review available data to identify, prioritize, and resolve atypical eligibility issues.
Write clear, logical written decisions based on relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
Review applicant data in cases where client eligibility or suitability is questionable or difficult to determine.
Prepare accurate case notations within claims management system which contain accurate, specific, and sufficient facts to address the standards of the law and allow accurate application of law, regulation, and policy.
Determine validity of information received through the Program Integrity's data match initiatives related to identity and eligibility, and issues written determinations on the same.
Advise claimants and employers of appeal rights and procedures.
Maintain relationships/contact with appropriate department personnel.
Prepare reports, attend meetings, and drafts correspondence.
Assist in performing system testing/reporting as required.
Intake reports of potential fraud through the Department's Fraud Hotline.
Investigate cases of alleged fraud committed by claimants against the Agency.
Analyze and investigate information received on employer information requests from employers.
Process requests for hearings.
Update Appeal Log accurately and in accordance with established policy and procedure.
Performs related duties as required and assigned.

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating life insurance applications, making critical decisions on risk selection, and determining whether to issue standard rates or decline applications. What You Will Do:
Screen life insurance applications, including trial applications, to select risks and determine standard, rate, or reject disposition.
Implement underwriting policies and procedures for new business processing and other department processes.
Utilize Swiss Re Underwriting manual and internal company notes to implement medical guidelines.
Report and interpret MIB codes, as well as evaluate results of oral saliva tests and agent verification calls.
Review and assess motor vehicle records (MVRs), prescription histories (Rx), medical records (APSs), and paramedical exams/lab results.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding dispositions and evaluate health information received with add-ons, modifications, and reinstatements.
Act as the underwriting contact for top-level Agents for information and escalated issues, handling sensitive cases and positive drug screens.

What You Can Bring:
Some college coursework; Bachelor's degree preferred; will consider 5+ years of life insurance experience in place of a degree.
Required certifications: LOMA 280/281, LOMA 290/291; pursuit of FLMI preferred; consideration given to other industry courses.
Mandatory certification in LOMA Underwriting (UND) and knowledge of medical terminology.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in an Underwriter role or above.
