Schedule: Full-time | On-site We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join our team in Silverdale, WA. The Forklift Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Key Responsibilities: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on forklifts, pallet jacks (2,000-70,000 lb. capacity), and other MHE. Dismantle and reassemble equipment to OEM specifications and Navy standards. Inspect and repair electric, diesel, propane, or gasoline-powered MHE and related systems. Troubleshoot and repair drive trains, hydraulic systems, brakes, and electrical systems. Perform welding and fabrication repairs as needed. Research and identify replacement parts for order. Maintain tools, documentation, and adherence to all safety and operational procedures. Qualifications: Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a forklift, MHE, or heavy equipment mechanic in commercial or government settings. Strong knowledge of electric, diesel, propane, and gasoline engine systems. Skilled in diagnosing electrical and computer-controlled systems. Must provide personal hand tools appropriate to the trade. Valid state driver's license with acceptable record. Ability to lift 50 lbs and work effectively in a team environment. The Aircraft Mechanic III performs maintenance to service, repair, and overhaul aircraft to insure airworthiness. Utilizes technical skills and knowledge to train and develop mechanics. Assists Leads with daily operation of functional area while working under minimal supervision. Amentum is currently seeking a qualified Aircraft Worker in support of the U.S Naval Air Station maintenance operations at NAS Whidbey Island. The Aircraft Worker performs pre/post-operational checks, fueling and operation of support equipment, to include conditional/scheduled inspections and periodic maintenance. Essential Responsibilities: Make repairs to aircraft following orders of higher-grade worker. Remove, clean, reinstall or replace defective parts, accessories, and components such as worn gaskets, couplings, and fittings; bad actuators, accumulators, gauges, sections of corroded fuel and oil lines, worn cable pulleys, frayed spark plug cables, and burned-out landing lights, using hand tools. Make adjustments and settings such as cable tension and seat movement settings and adjustments. Obtain standard parts such as fuel and oil line connections and fittings, cable linkage, and spark plug cables and harnesses by referring to parts manuals and by making comparisons with samples. Service engines and aircraft components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.
