**Responsibilities**
This senior-level fundraising position engages with professional estate planning and wealth advisors, as well as current and potential individual donors, to support charitable gift planning, and with staff members, to provide technical assistance.
Success in the Sr. Charitable Estate Planning Advisor role requires mastery of the American Heart Association's mission, gift options, and latest initiatives and programs to inspire and engage donors and professional advisors on the many opportunities to financially support the Association, alongside technical expertise to facilitate giving to the Association using a variety of gift vehicles.
This individual encourages participation, builds strategic relationships, and consults with members of the American Heart Association's growing Professional Advisor Network, which includes estate planning attorneys, financial planners, and other planning professionals involved in advising potential and active donors to the Association. The Senior Advisor cultivates and stewards current and prospective donors, both virtually and in-person, traveling as needed for visits and making presentations to donors and small groups to support building future interest in planned giving to the American Heart Association.
In addition, the Senior Advisor serves as a subject matter expert on charitable estate giving opportunities, increasing awareness among volunteers and staff, and working with regional and national staff to coordinate charitable estate gift planning program activities with other organizational efforts.
**Responsibilities related to Professional Advisors:**
+ Develops and implements a strategic action plan to identify, qualify, and build high-engagement relationships with professional advisors, developing the Association's Professional Advisor Network.
+ Leverages many marketing and communications resources, events, and tools available, including special events, direct mail, newsletters, websites, email communications, social media messages, etc., with the purpose of generating quality interaction with professionals and their clients.
+ Provides consultation as needed for technical solicitations and creation of formal proposals involving estate planning advisors and other projects as requested.
+ Responsible for writing one technical article a month on a technical topic that will be featured in both internal and external publications.
+ Responsible for recruiting speakers and topics for internal webinars (donor and advisor facing) and serving as host for these presentations.
+ Work closely and collaborate with the broader MA team and markets to develop blended gift proposals and asks and increase noncash assets.
+ Responsible for attending conferences - both nationally and regionally to promote PAN and build relationships and partnerships.
**Responsibilities related to Donors & Prospective Donors:**
+ Responsible for donor cultivation and stewardship, including but not limited to personal visits, calls, written correspondence, and presentations.
+ Responsible for generating new leads and following up on all leads received from individuals in the assigned territory, requesting charitable estate planning information from the Association.
+ Supplies charitable estate planning illustrations using Crescendo Interactive software.
+ Supplies information and reviews estate plans with prospective donors to potentially obtain a gift commitment for the Association. Recommends specific estate gift planning actions in support of donor goals.

+ Ability to document plans, progress, and results in the Association's Salesforce Customer Relationship Management system in an accurate and timely manner.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
+ At least five (5) years of experience in Charitable Estate Planning or related fundraising experience, with experience and mastery of various giving vehicles and structures used.
+ Demonstrated strategic, leadership, and management capabilities in a comprehensive development environment, high level of motivation and assertiveness.
+ Daily working knowledge of MS Office Products - Word and PowerPoint. Proficiency in virtual communication platforms, including MS Teams and Zoom.
+ Ability to successfully establish and maintain working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Successful proven record of completing gift agreements through personal interviews.
+ Proven success in engaging with professional estate planning and wealth advisors.
+ Demonstrated skills in relationship building and stewardship, conducting effective sales/solicitation calls, and/or effectively closing/sales solicitations.
+ Ability to manage the appropriate budget for travel and/or marketing expenses.
+ Ability to travel approximately 60 - 75% of the time, working to develop programs in major metropolitan areas within the designated territory or as assigned.
+ Willingness to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
**Preferred Experience:**
+ Advanced degree (master's or higher) or aligned certification, JD, CFP, CAP, CFA, highly preferred.
+ Ten (10) years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, VP of Health, and Marketing & Communications Director to develop and implement strategies that deepen donor relationships and enhance our fundraising impact.
Lead and manage a team of two direct reports, the Director of Heart Challenge and the Director of Socials, ensuring accountability and support for achieving ambitious fundraising goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
At least three years of relevant experience, preferably in a development position in a similar non-profit organization.
At least three years of experience in staff management, preferably development or fundraising staff.
Experience leading and cultivating high-level leaders at the C-suite level preferred.
Direct knowledge of special event fundraising tactics preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

The RN Case Manager provides intermittent skilled nursing services; communicates the patient's progress with other disciplines and directs, supervises and instructs hospice aide staff in the provision of personal care to the patient. As a RN Case Manager you will:
Key Responsibilities:
Under the physician's order, admit patients eligible for hospice services
Assess and evaluates patient needs/problems, identifies mutually agreed upon goals with patients
Report patient status and need for other disciplines to clinical leadership, attending physician and hospice physician
Update care plans on an ongoing basis; revise and resolve patient problems and goals as changes occur and/or recertification
Complete informational visit and obtain patient consents for hospice admission per office procedure
Be responsible to ensure the use of the 4Ms (What Matters to the patient, Medications, Mentation, and Mobility) and provide Age-Friendly Care
Skills and Experience Required:
Current unencumbered registered nurse in the state of practice or in accordance with the Board of Nurse Examiners rules for Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
Must maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record
Ability to work in a field setting and exhibited ability to make sound nursing judgments
Ability to assess patient needs and formulate individualized patient care plans to meet those needs

Responsibilities
Develops and implements local strategic communications plans that promote the American Heart Association's nationally driven priorities, local events, community impact, Science news and cause initiatives
Writes, distributes and pitches news releases and other supporting media materials to local traditional and non-traditional media
Secures media sponsorships for local events and priority initiatives, as appropriate.
Implements awareness campaigns around heart and stroke related topics and works collaboratively with other key market staff to develop an integrated approach to such campaigns.
Works with staff to ensure that national branding guidelines are followed
Develops and implements communications plans for sponsor funded activations.
Coordinates and implements communications plans in conjunction with strategic alliances
Identifies, secures and media trains local spokespersons.
Provides marketing and communications support for development and fundraising events and activations, as appropriate
Identifies human interest stories for media coverage, social media posts, internal and external communications channels and event integration
Tracks all media coverage via a media tracking system and manages a spokesperson database. Works with video production companies to produce videos for events, social media and other marketing communications resources.
Works with photographers to produce photography for events, social media and other marketing and communications resources
Other Job Duties:
Develops and implements media events, as appropriate.
Works to place Public Service Announcements (PSA) locally.
Works with Southeast Region's VP of Communications and Marketing to manage local crises or sensitive issues.
Works in collaboration with media advocacy staff to develop appropriate media advocacy strategies and implements strategies, as appropriate
Works with executive director and team to manage local paid advertising projects
Manages and implements other projects as identified by the executive director
In this role, you will report to the Executive Director.
Qualifications
Bilingual, Spanish-speaking is a must, Spanish-writing preferred but not required.
Travels as required within the assigned territory markets; 20% travel as needed within Broward County.
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or related field, or some college plus experience.
Typically requires minimum three years of work experience in communications, social media, public relations and journalism or any equivalent combination of training and work experience.
Experience applying the principles and practices of communications and marketing to the non-profit environment.
Experience working as a team member with multiple internal and external constituencies at varying levels: staff, media, external corporations, and volunteers.
Experience with crisis communications and sensitive issues.
Experience implementing communications campaigns, pitching to media, planning media events, and writing news releases.
Exceptional oral and written communications skills, including experience with speech writing, news writing for broadcast and print and general business writing.
Working knowledge of news media operations, newsgathering, and technology.
Must have at least intermediate knowledge and skills with Microsoft Office for word processing, email, PowerPoints, and spreadsheets.
