Maintain and update apprentice book. Apprentice is responsible for completing outline.
Successfully complete the required related course work through an approved college or institution.
Successfully complete all required in-house training programs.
Purchase the tools required for the position.
Be able to work on the shift assigned.
Maintain excellent safety and housekeeping habits.
Contribute to an environment for harmonious operations.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

JOB SUMMARY The Electrician/Instrument Technician Apprentice requires a combination of electrical, instrumentation, programming, and mechanical skills. The primary duty of this position will be to provide electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical support to the Factory and/or Packaging & Warehousing as needed to sustain sugar production operations and maintenance. The electrical and mechanical support will include installation and maintenance of a wide variety of sugar production equipment and other electrical or mechanical devices. Due to the nature of sugar production operations, shift work and overtime may be required. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Keep electrical systems running to prevent or minimize down time in process
Upgrading and adding new electrical systems which includes running conduit, wire and termination ends
Maintain existing electrical systems
Responsible for working cooperatively and assist various other skilled technicians in performing a variety of different maintenance, repair and construction tasks
Perform all electrical, instrumentation/programming on all production equipment and buildings keeping them in proper operating condition
Assist in mechanical or fabrication projects when the need arises
Handle all PLC installations, upgrades , program changes and keeping backup programs for all processors and HMI's
Plan and execute projects with minimal guidance
Parts ordering
Inspection of all newly installed and preexisting equipment to ensure safe and proper work was completed
Lead small work crews during repair season.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
