TSC's is seeking a Temporary Assembler, I at our Huntsville, AL Discovery location to support our production division. Responsibilities: Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production type hardware according to company workmanship standards and military or client specifications. Assists in the development and wiring of engineering models and in the development of assembly methods and wire lists. Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and make other adjustments to fit components together and align them properly. May assist in instructing and training lower level assemblers. Reads and interprets wiring lists and assembly drawings and Works to work orders using visual aids, ECN's, and schematics. May perform any rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and may set up and operate automatic prepping, loading, and insertion equipment. The employee may frequently be required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms. Requirements: High school diploma and 0-1 years of production and/or assembly experience Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Qualifications - Use a variety of tools, machines and test equipment to manufacture and assemble a variation of harness and electrical components used in the manufacture of fire suppression systems following blueprints, bill or materials, work instructions and JSA sheets. - Melt and apply solder along adjoining edges on solder joint. - Quickly identify quality of solder joints and make corrections to provide finished products to the required standards. - Inspect parts to blueprint and work instructions and keep accurate count of parts. - Rotate and perform productions duties as assigned. Overview: As an Assembly Technician you will assist in building Adventure vehicles on Storyteller Overlands MODE or HILT Production Team. You will take full ownership of ensuring to build quality products while being a team player and a superior brand ambassador of our reputation within our vibrant community of vanlifers, adventure seekers, and outdoor enthusiasts. This role will involve lifting heavy components and standing for extended periods, so physical fitness is required. Physical Requirements: The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds This job entails prolonged periods of standing and walking around the manufacturing floor Precision and coordination are crucial for assembling intricate components and operating machinery. Employees must be capable of using hand and power tools with a steady hand Assembly tasks may require reaching, stretching, and bending to access components, equipment, and workstations as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch is necessary for accessing low-lying work areas and performing assembly tasks close to the ground Employees must have good visual acuity to inspect and ensure the quality of components and products.
