We are looking for Mechanical Assembler III for our LV/MV assembly Integration Team. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers.
Shift Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pm
Hourly Rate: $22.46
Note: You will train at our Wendell NC facility for the first month before moving over to the Knightdale location.
You'll make an impact by:
* Assemble, sub-assemblies, parts kits, and aftermarket parts orders, including mechanical assembly of steel components.
* Record job transactions, read BOMs, follow layouts and assembly drawings.
* Set and use torque wrenches correctly, adhering to developed processes and seeking ways to improve.
* Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
* Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Basic Qualifications
* 3+ year of experience in mechanical assembly or a related mechanical field.
* 3+ years of experience working with standard hand and power tools, both pneumatic and battery operated
* SAP and Salesforce experience
* Knowledge of torque wrench and applied torque values
* Experience with using a tape measure and other measuring devices
* Able to Identify mechanical parts and electrical components
* Ability to occasionally lift parts or sub-assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs.
* Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.

* Properly follow instructions to assemble furniture safely and accurately
