Primary Purpose of Position Demonstrates mastery of skills and extensive subject matter knowledge in carrying out assignments associated with the analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation, and proposed modification of Clean Energy Center (CEC) specific maintenance or technical training programs. Primary Duties and Accountabilities Drives CEC and personnel performance improvement using training. Develops, schedules, coordinates, and conducts performance-based training programs as required by user community in accordance with Constellation's Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) model, department procedures, and with proper application of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation phases. Prepares trainee examination and conducts trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, on the job training, and simulator environments, as appropriate and conducts counseling sessions for trainees, evaluates the results, and recommends/develops individualized training programs. Participates in CEC support activities, i.e. outage support, root cause support, line assessment support. Assures the training programs are maintained current and incorporate information gained from Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Significant Operating Experience Reports and Constellation Nuclear Event Reports (NERs), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Bulletins and Information Notices, CEC design change and backfit information, CEC procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports. Support CEC and fleet in the areas of business initiatives, project management, refuel outage support, emergency preparedness duties, and special projects. Supervises the collection and maintenance of auditable training records and reports required to document training program activities. Participates in NRC, INPO and management audits, and prepares responses to audit findings.     The Rutgers-Camden Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office is seeking an instructor who can teach the Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills ( CARS ) section of the MCAT exam and also serve as the instructor of record for the MCAT workshop course that is offered to undergraduate students for academic credit. The course may utilize materials from a test preparation company such as Kaplan and will be supplemented by American Association of Medical Colleges ( AAMC ) materials and direct instruction. The course will cover all four sections of the MCAT exam, with separate instructors teaching each of the three other sections. The instructor of record will coordinate the work of the other instructors and ensure that the course runs efficiently and effectively. The course will be offered in person in Camden, NJ. Two of the four topics on the MCAT will be addressed each class session, which will be held one afternoon a week. The other two topics will be taught the following week. The CARS instructor therefore will attend class once every other week. The instructor of record should expect to spend approximately 2 hours every other week instructing students, with additional time allotted for grading, office hours and various administrative duties related to oversight of the course. HOW A LEAD FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Lead Firearms Instructors (LFIs) are the first point of contact at the training venue for Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDO) and is the on-site training manager for the program. LFIs conduct all classroom instruction; delivering the approved TSA training and safety brief; introducing and describing new equipment; and ensuring all students understand and sign the safety briefing. The LFI ensures a minimum number of SFIs are present to maintain an instructor/student ratio of 1:6 for each training session. The LFI must ensure a sufficient inventory of training supplies is on-hand at the training venue to support monthly requalification sessions. The LFI is expected to maintain positive control of the training environment from the moment students arrive at the venue to the moment they depart. Upon students? arrival; the LFIs must verify weapons and credentials of each FFDO before training commences by visual inspection. The LFI is responsible for ensuring proper scoring of targets; completion of applicable administrative forms; and collection of training data. The LFI is required sign and certify qualification scores for all FFDOs attempting to qualify. Failure of an FFDO to qualify also means that an authorized FAMS Representative and/or LFI takes custody of the unloaded weapon; transport device (lockbox); credential and other equipment for return to TSA/FAMS. If no authorized FAMS representative is present to receive the equipment; the LFI shall make immediate verbal notification to the FFDO Program Office in order to make the appropriate arrangements to return equipment and credentials. The LFI must keep all Sensitive Security Information (SSI) and Sensitive Personally Identifying Information (SPII) secured appropriately both during and after a re-qualification session in compliance with the TSA MD 2100.2; Privacy and Information Collection Policy and TSA MD 1400.3 TSA Information Security Policy. The LFI is oversees time keeping of all SFI labor hours. The LFI must comply with internal compliance training events WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: EDUCATION / EQUIVALENT TRAINING: Current or former federal law enforcement agent; officer; or civilian employee having completed a recognized federal firearm instructor training program deemed acceptable by the TSA/FAMS.
