What You Will Do Visioning and programming for interior design projects, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, shop drawing reviews, code compliance, and construction administration Select and document furniture, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and decorative lighting Generate finish plans, RCPs, lighting plans, specifications, material selections, and millwork drawings and details Provide design documentation during project execution Coordinate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators Integrate new technology and tools on projects (AR, VR, computational design, etc.) Support design presentations Support marketing and business development efforts as needed QA/QC specifications and construction document sets Strive to elevate design quality on every project, and foster and cultivate a culture of design in the office Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture 6-10 years of interior design experience, inclusive of at least 4 recent years for Hospitality (hotel lobbies, hotel rooms, hotel amenity spaces) projects Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programs Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) NCIDQ/CID in process Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwell, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus Proficiency with: Selection of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications Interior construction documents Applicable codes and safety considerations Strong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impact Strong graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas Please submit resume and portfolio (ideally showcasing your design experience with Hospitality project types).
